The central pressure is in the range of 50–100 million atmospheres where hydrogen is expected to be in a metallic state.

Jupiter's wind speeds vary depending on the region. At the equator, prevailing winds can reach up to 335 miles per hour (539 kilometers per hour). In the visible cloud layer, winds blow at about 180 mph (250 km/hour). Within the boundaries of the Great Red Spot, wind speeds have increased by up to 8 percent from 2009 to 2020 and exceed 400 miles per hour.

Jupiter's inside layers have varying temperatures. The core is far hotter, reaching temperatures in the region of 24,000 degrees Celsius, while the upper atmosphere is much colder.

Jupiter's upper atmosphere has an average temperature of around -145°C, but it can vary significantly. The poles can dip as low as -220°C, while the equator can reach up to 1,340°C.

@yotazama gas giants have a solid core that you could in theory land on. But the weather would be so intense that it'd be impossible to survive on or gather any data before the rover is destroyed. That is why no one has attempted to land something on a gas giant, there would be no point. They aren't big balls of gas and dust, they do have a solid core, they are just in a perpetual global sandstorm.

So unless you're talking about landing on the gas it'self then yes, you can absolutely land on a gas giant, you just won't have a good time when you do.

I think this planet is beautifully done. I've used it numerous times, and on servers in the past.

Думаю было бы не плохо дать ему имя)

It's supposed to be a gas giant....You shouldn't be able to land on it......Don't people know how planets work?
Looterich_(AUT) 28 Mar, 2022 @ 7:58am
we use this planet on our survival server
Very nice!!!

Thx fort that nice peace of work!!

how do i find the planet then...?
Jimbodiah 22 Oct, 2021 @ 11:28am

The textures somehow got messed up recentlye, all sorts of chunks and transparancy issues now.
g.wes 30 Jun, 2021 @ 6:47am
hello know how I can solve the problem of the transparency of my gas giant.

You need to find the save folder.
Usually in Window system is %AppData%\SpaceEngineers\Saves\{some numbers}\{name of the saved game}\
But in other computer systems (like Linux or Apple) it may be in another place.
There will be files.
You need to stop the game, then delete the file SANDBOX_0_0_0_.sbsB5
It is necessary.
Then open and edit the file SANDBOX_0_0_0_.sbs
Then launch the game again and look for asteroids changed.
I hope you understand.
TopTech 7 May, 2021 @ 12:52pm
I can't seem to locate it to set the asteroids. I find all of the other one's I have but not the Sandbox_config.sbc file of this world. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SpaceEngineers\Content . This is the only place I can find Sandbox_config.sbc . You have a new place I can Look?

Ok landing on gas giants is kinda dum, but maybe some sort of gas collection system like in elite dangerous would be cool, if you could do that i dunno.

For plausibility, a special material is needed that does not give out any ore and does not spawn anywhere other than a gas giant (neither on asteroids, nor on other planets). No ore maps are needed. Such material is used in this mod. It's black. You can look in the files of this mod and see VoxelMaterialsGasGiant.sbc and the material is called GasGiantCore. And look in GasGiant.sbc how the GasGiantCore material is used.
Note: when using other planet mods with this mod, the color of the material sometimes differs from black. In this case, you need to deeply study how the planets are created in order to correct this.
PsiCoTix 21 Feb, 2021 @ 10:19pm
yeah atmo needs to be true for some of the texturing to work i saw :)
I was messing with the ore Depths and thickness to try to get something that'd be similar to like a super dense core; and it didn't like that when the planet is like 1000km - ore where detected but wouldn't actually mine/showup :)
covergy  [author] 21 Feb, 2021 @ 7:12pm
I think the gas giants are not meant to land and should not be giving ore. An attempt to land should end with the death of the spacecraft.
To disable the ability to land on the gas giant in the respawn pod, you need a respawn pod mod. For example, you can see this https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2362686193
PsiCoTix 17 Feb, 2021 @ 3:53pm
are you planning on added ore perhaps?
and/or would you be opposed to me making a modified version of the planet with no atmo (to disable default landing repawning there and some ores?

(personally I like the waste land of a surface)

I would love to visit a server that has this one running! I would like to see it up close... fyi, I'm still new to the game.
darinreynolds90 4 Jan, 2021 @ 10:14am
how do you get and use this toolbox
Scanner 4 Jan, 2021 @ 5:48am
Using SE toolbox, open your world, find the planet and click regenerate, then you can up the radius.
HerWonZiemniak 29 Dec, 2020 @ 12:13pm
Hey is there any way You could make a world with 1000km radius of this planet ? Just that empty world with 1000km gas giant in it, a nice canvas to paint on :)
darinreynolds90 24 Nov, 2020 @ 5:15am
looks really nice
GROTESK 23 Nov, 2020 @ 10:33pm
Super!

your going to need a bit more of an explanation than that if you want people to use this
