@Hiram I hope a new version is made, this was a good mod.
Hiram  [author] 27 Aug, 2024 @ 5:45am
This mod is very old and dead. I think that the More Civs team were going to make a new Celts split but that hasn't happened, as I was sad to find out when I was thinking of getting back into Civ V. Is there a true successor out there?

Just subscribed to this, any idea why Cornwall is showing incorrectly?
This displays like this in the civ selection and in game.

Hello!
I would like to request permission to use your mod for a scenario I am making for Britania. Credit will be given of course. Thoughts?
Saezher 26 Aug, 2018 @ 7:36am
Hello,

Being myself Britton and therefore celt (and definitely not french, unlike some would say), I added Brittany to this mod and wanted to know if I could upload your mod + Brittany.
Otherwise, terrific mod!
bakorgèn-BZH 29 May, 2018 @ 1:47am
where is brittany?
sirnori 16 May, 2018 @ 12:24am
Great mod, but needs a couple of very minor tweaks.
Welsh Longbowmen were historically called Saethwyrs, in case you need a more specific name.
And perhaps call Boudicca's bonus "Razing of Camulodunum", as "Boudicca's Uprising" lacks a certain something.
Androconus 26 Feb, 2018 @ 1:02pm
I can't get this to work. I have all the required dlc, and the mod is enabled. It's just not showing up in the civ list. (The default celt civ is.) Is this mod up to date? Is there something I should be doing to get this to work?

Proper job. Love Cornwall as LONG AS THEY STAY ON THEIR SIDE OF OUR RIVER.
Devon, huzzah. And we make better pasties, obviously.
grazzy 8 Oct, 2017 @ 2:04am
@ursan, those are not mods, those are dlc's you need to buy from the store page
ursan 30 Sep, 2017 @ 6:00pm
Would it be possible if MOD writers place links to all dependencies so that we don't spend hours tracking down other mods that are needed? I just found out I can't run this mod because others are missing. I can't locate "Harald Bluetooth's Denmark" or "Wonders of the Ancient World".

Does this work with British Isles TSL map on YNAEMP v23?

Doesn't download when I hit the subscribe button, any help please?
zArkham4269 24 Sep, 2016 @ 5:22pm
Do all of these various Civs have their own E&D events?
Paul Blart 28 Aug, 2016 @ 5:50pm
compatible with events and decisions
Stealthheart 28 Aug, 2016 @ 2:53pm
Do you have a link to download it? Subsribing doesn't do the trick.
Doomed World 2 Aug, 2016 @ 8:36pm
not working for me
Karrie 19 Jul, 2016 @ 10:44am
Man, I just HAVE to know what the music is for Ireland's War Theme. I've tried all the links and searched everywhere but I just can't find the damn thing :c
Bisko 14 Jun, 2016 @ 7:31pm
I wish this was compatible with just Brave New World and Gods and Kings, I don't have the Wonders of the Ancient World DLC
Arashi500 23 May, 2016 @ 9:32pm
Wasn't Ireland Green and Yellow w/ Brian Boru instead of Malachy II before? I liked it a lot better, personally.
Strathclyde 17 May, 2016 @ 6:12pm
Is this compatible with the community balance patch?
millerwolf 13 May, 2016 @ 10:04pm
I am unable to subscribe to this mod. I doesn't download to the Mods folder. Is there an alternative location to use for downloading this mod?
Bedivere 9 May, 2016 @ 2:20pm
Just curious but why did you not include a group like Brittany and the Bretons, or at least as a side mod
Gus Griswald 5 Apr, 2016 @ 10:07am
Idea: David I of Scotland.
Divok 26 Feb, 2016 @ 11:22am
Downloaded this and now am not seeing any of these factions, not even the original celts... Anyone else have this issue? Am I just being dumb and there is an easy fix?
Dunkleosteus 26 Feb, 2016 @ 9:24am
+1 culture from having at least one sheep near a city. -Wales
Bedivere 17 Jan, 2016 @ 1:29pm
also just curious what are the start bias for each civ?
Bedivere 17 Jan, 2016 @ 1:05pm
for cornwall it says +1 tin. is another dlc required to use that or not?
Roconator 27 Dec, 2015 @ 3:14pm
Fantastic mod! Felt shafted that all Irish related civs were squished into Celts in original Civ. Only improvement I could think of is adding compatability with 3rd and 4th UC mod!
cubiksoy 17 Dec, 2015 @ 10:27pm
btw stannaries are also an interesting wikipedia search for people interested in labor history!
cubiksoy 17 Dec, 2015 @ 10:25pm
love this mod, the unified celtic culture was one of my biggest pet peeves in the DLC and you've given us an elegant fix here. and they're fun to play. minor complaint that the stannary becomes more useful as you change the map size, out of proportion to how it changes across a growing empire; arguably this is an issue for all trading based civs but it gets mildly annoying that the advisor keeps advising more stannaries when you've already got half a dozen unsellable surplus of tin and no copper or iron nearby. (i do get that the +1 gold can be nice if you get a policy that decreases building maintenance costs, but this is far from universal.) again, very minor gripe. love these, thanks much
A Servant 5 Dec, 2015 @ 6:57am
what about brian boru
Prince of Wales 4 Dec, 2015 @ 10:31pm
Hey mate which Denmark DLC do you mean
Microsoft Powerpoint 3 Dec, 2015 @ 10:15am
God g&k basically for this mod :D
Hiram  [author] 3 Dec, 2015 @ 6:38am
It'll most likely be changed back to Brian Boru when the More Civs team update the mod.
SG 3 Dec, 2015 @ 3:28am
good point dylanhk02 but it wouldnt make much sense for it to be michael collins because this mod seems to be about ancient ireland. A mod adding ireland under michael collins would be cool though.
A Servant 28 Nov, 2015 @ 1:45pm
I would reccomend a more famous Irish leader like Brian Boru or Micheal Collins
Flagellation Nation 27 Sep, 2015 @ 7:05pm
I think the Cornish should get some sort of bonus related to copper. Or maybe they could get a great engineer when they discover bronze working?
JEELEN 8 Sep, 2015 @ 12:02pm
@Hiram I'm guessing there's no YnAEMP support, as I'm seeing some peculiar spawn locations (Siberia, Africa).
rico_cornwall 5 Sep, 2015 @ 12:52pm
Could someone please give me the links to the DLC's I need for this. I have BNW and G&K. Thank you!
SaintDaveUK 31 Aug, 2015 @ 4:47am
I love the mod! I suggest changing The Iceni to instead named The Britons [en.wikipedia.org].

Iceni is oddly specific, and represents a small and indistinct part of Briton civilisation. It would be nice to have the Briton civilisation represented properly in the game.
Mebera 20 Aug, 2015 @ 12:35pm
Doing my first playthrough as Wales atm, loving it so far.

However, I noticed that the Cymru Longbowman starts with the Drill I promotion, which is a melee unit promotion, as opposed to Barrage I, which is the ranged unit rough terrain promotion. Was this the intention?
4711Link29 12 Aug, 2015 @ 1:54am
What about Brittany? They also are a Celtic civ. I think they should get the original bonus from Celts (Druidic Heritage), giving Cornwall something about mines (+1 faith/mine could be appropriate but maybe a bit too much).

As for their other bonus, that could be something about farming, fishing or exploration: maybe +1 food and +20% TR range for harbor
