Can this be used in conjunction along with the vanilla one. I noticed this mod doesn't really add trees, merely replaces the older ones with sexier ones! I'd also like to higher vegetation too! :)

Yes, you only need to replace the HEF models in the mod with the WEF ones. However Keep in mind that all High Elves will spawn Wood Elves trees this way.

Can someone PLEASE make a mod to see through battle trees? Right now you have to zoom waaay in to see, so you miss the rest of the battlefield

Hey, is there a way you can swap the tree types for a faction? I'd like to get the wood elf trees as avelorn. Is that something that'd be fairly simple with this mod on?

As I said in the description I do not create trees and I am not a modeler, just an average guy who messes with game files.
I just used the tree models I've found in the battlemaps, which are more complex than the campaign ones and those were the best I could find within the game.
Other models are too big unfortunately.
This means the only way to do what you ask for is creating new models from scratch or editing\resizing the existing ones, which may be easy but I am not able to do.

This is my top 1 mod. it has increased my pleasure of playing x500. it makes huge diffrence on the campaign map and i love it! Thanks so much and i really hope you will be around to keep it up and make same for wh3 :D:steamthumbsup:

Just a subjective opinion - I think this mod would attract even more people if it had a variant that downscaled the trees to roughtly vanilla height size [currently they look a bit too big at least in my opinion]. Also I think you can get away with an ultra quality version with higher performance impact but also even better HD looks. I think there are a lot of people out there who want better looks.

I can only replace trees with other trees and grass with trees, so where you can see greenskins grass i can place trees there

I've already tried to use battlemap textures, it's possible but they don't look better because the lod system is the same

This mod looks amazing! For greenskin regions would you be able to add patches of mushroom fauna? I'm just curious if you can use any battlemap textures as substitutes or just the trees?

The only way to do it is to use empire normal pines for corruption

Gorgeous mod. The only downside is figuring out what actually counts as forests on the campaign for battle and ambush purpose.

Is there any chance to make a mod about Vampire corruption to not destroy all the trees and terrain. Or that it will depend on the lvl of corruption so that we still can have some nice looking terrain and trees? It wold be definetly liked by us bloodsucker fans

Forests of Gloom in the campaign map have something shinny, but when I zoom in all I see are trees. Is there a tree in the way or is it supposed to look like that?

There are no tables, the trees are models replaced into models.pack file.

I think I worked a way of doing it by replacing some of the grass in the pack file with renamed tree files. I tested and it seems to have done what I wanted, hopefully that's close enough to the process and that I haven't made any crucial errors. Thanks for the mod btw

hello. cool mod. i read descriptions for both version, there seems to be no open discussions on any of them and no faq, so forgive me for asking if this was already answered before.

am i correct in assuming that this mod does not affect campaign movement speeds? (the new foreseted areas aren't considered difficult terrain?)

This is a great mod that left me with only a couple things to gripe about. Like, when using underway stance my armies will plant a tree where they land. Skaven hordes burrowing beneath a forest would kill trees if anything.

Excellent mod, pretty trees, 9/10

Would it be possible to combine your two forest mods with each other? So that you have the density of the vanilla mod with an "overlay" of the high resolution mod?
