Second time, I'm mostly being ignored (even if their scouts detect me and spam their message about me being in the area), but I noticed most of the larger small grid ships just hovering in the air, facing their cockpits towards the sky like they're struggling with the gravity, and some of the survivors flying towards the ground firing missles, then flying back up and hovering for a bit, then repeating the behavior.
Something real funky going on with this mod. I do like what it's trying to achieve, though, the few times their behavior wasn't super weird, it did add some extra immersion to the world.

Both with a BAR added to the connector.
Is there a way to see what my current threat is?
It *can* spawn on facility defenses, but its still just a small-grid ship.
I just lost my starting rover, to EMCORP, about 3 mins into a new world ;)
They should be more easily dealt with as intended, and will not directly target players until they have a high enough threat score.
If those spawns I saw back when they would just crash on Petram were intended to be actual drone spawns, it seems they were spawning one after the other.
Heck, it led to a situation in-game where we had no ammo, but were able to hold out long enough for the drone to run out as well, but another was already coming after us, leading to a non-stop cycle of waiting for the drone to run dry, then another one comes, leaving only a minute or two between attacks to actually make any progress.
Heck, one time I actually dehydrated to death (Using Daily Needs Survival Kit) while waiting because the drone was just constantly on me, and I had no way to get back to base without, well, leading it back to the base.
I recently had one of their drones fly over and relentlessly fire upon me, though not upon anything I owned.
They also attacked other neutral targets, namely a settlement from the 'Abandoned Settlements' mod.
Any way this could be changed so they only go after hostile targets, and otherwise just fly overhead? Because I think it would add so much atmosphere to just occasionally see a survivor drone fly along, maybe help out with a threat as described here, rather than hunt me down and kill me for the crime of also surviving.
Or did I just happen to encounter one which 'didn't hold their morals', even though firing at them would lower my reputation with the entire faction?
@Max, yes, they can spawn on any planet with an atmosphere. The spawnig drones are based on a calculation of what the MES thinks you have. Mosquito drones spawning too early is an issue, they're supposed to be tough *when* the player is ready. I'll up their spawn requirements.
I haven't seen a single drone able to fly on Petram yet, and even the Unknown Signals have crashed and blown up a few times.
Keep in mind, the planet's atmosphere is exceedingly thin, and atmospheric thrusters cut out a very short distance above the surface.
It's also concerning because the wrecks leave a decent amount of loot in their craters, which SEEMS like something which should only be a reward for actually taking it down, rather than a matter of trekking a few kilometers to plunder the literal less than-a-threat piles of falling metal.
Yes please!!!!!
