Quick starts is exactly what they were for lol. As for the cells back any good engineer in the real can reclaim cells if careful......

These are great, I've used them on every save so far, very handy as low capacity high output capacitors to avoid brown outs.
The grind and rebuild exploit is unfortunate, but getting the power cells back makes them great for temporary/jump-start use.
