Hi Dadang,

These trams had a life to them, as you said in your description you could hear them bounce around on the tracks and you knew they were on their way to your stop. The newer trams don't have any character. Most people older than 20 will tell you how great it was to ride these trams.

When the newer trams came along, some of the Ws became free on the Melbourne Loop and some were sold and used as restaurants. You could eat dinner while the tram gave you a tour of Melbourne.

I was lucky for my age, I saw the last of the W trams and also the last of the wooden trains on the Melbourne public transport system. There is no life anymore from the new vehicles.

Hello! You are welcome!

I read a lot of article when making this. Have a great history for Melbourne tram network. Yes, I hope someday I can visit one of this kind trams. :lunar2019grinningpig:

Hi Dadang

I never took the time to say thank you.

I remember these trams very well. If my memory is correct, they were used for a while as free trams around the City Circle, so it's sad if they're no longer part of the heart of Melbourne.

Thanks again,

Rod

Thanks:steamhappy:

@PHRailways, In the past Australia also had trolleybuses, sadly it closed in 1969:steamsad:

Are more kinds of W Class coming? Recreating the casual American "Heritage Trolley" could be easily done with a pantograph version.

Australia not only has trams, but Melbourne's tram (streetcar) network is the largest in the world!

Great work again Dadang! Really loving not just the Aussie stuff, but the care you put into each model you create :)
