At the back left and right edges of the cockpit - if you clip into the cockpit itself, you might be able to place some size 1 Hull 2 (4 or so of them) and till that space in nicely - gives some good extra detailing as well. Same for the left and right sides just in front of the small latteral ball turrets. I think building it up off the horizontal front-to-back glowing-pylon thing could work nicely to fill that area in - or from the Hull 2 right under the barrel of the giant boom stick.
