Thanks! Never expected it would be so awesome. Even now at peak hours clothes and shoes are being sold fast due to the 50% sale. We are always in radio communication with each other. As supplies run low we message the in store warehouse and they rapidly resupply our stocks! Squeezing the supply carts through the never ending bard wire of customers. All this while a line of more customers is waiting outside to breach the store. The Christmas gift unwrapping success is partly dependent on us so we have to be at our 200%. Not our usual 150%. And they told us in the university that organizing a construction site is chaos. Nope! The major league is taking place at stores :winter2019cooldog:

It would be but it would take much time. For this year there will be no more updates. All requests are taken into account for next year though! You see I could not find a job related to my masters degree so I work as a salesman at a major athletics brand. Currently we are digging trenches to deal with the hordes of customers nearing our position for the Christmas shopping spree! We got to keep them all happy!

Best wishes for your Christmas op! It is true that the newest tree has issues and is meant for distant decorations. Hence it is called the optimized tree. Wish I could place a full 3D one which would look awesome while burning computers :steamsad: It would have about half a million faces which are parts where textures are seen. If a better solution is found I will add it.

Update is now live! Likely last update for 2024.
Unless some doable request comes up.
Plans already set for next year :winter2019cooldog:

Added 1 Huge Castle composition. About 3.500 objects!
Added 2 Big Mosaic Cookie like decorations.
Added 1 optimized Huge Christmas tree.
Added 1 Big Christmas Bell decoration.
Added 1 Merry Christmas Sign.
Added 1 wearable GreenMan hat.
Added 1 textured uniform for the GreenMan.

Another option would be to replace the static versions via script with their non static versions the moment the explosion takes place. Or just delete the objects when the explosion happens. Sadly Arma cannot handle many objects with physics at the same time so we mostly use static versions.

You only have to replace like four snow blocks with their non static versions. The ones where the explosives will be set. Not the whole wall. Otherwise it will be very hard to stabilize everything and even if you do and more soldiers are standing at the one size of the wall and not the other .... more torque ... wall goes down.

That was a good idea to replace the wall to the non static version. Only problem is now when i start the mission the wall just flings everything everywhere. Is there a way to fix it. Also i was using your wall you made.

@Dutch Thanks for the suggestion. Hopefully a beta version will not be needed. I check everything before updating so a major bug is pretty impossible to appear.

Thanks for understanding im kind of sure more people will use it if you do updates max once a week. just make a seocnd mod like christmasspack beta for testing.. you can update everyday and keep this one to update your changes once a week..

I understand. Thank you for raising the issue. To help you and anybody else facing the issue, there will be no weekend updates. All updates will take place once per week. On Wednesdays. Greece afternoon hours. So as for any possible downtime to be greatly limited or even eliminated. Only exemption for 2024 would be a bug fix.

The snow walls will not have a wreck module. Let us not smash performance :\
Disabling the snow blocks damage and setting explosives causes an awesome effect!
As soon as additions are ready they will be released.

A quick solution would be to remove the static snow blocks and add the normal ones. Those are ThingX objects. If you blow them up they should fly away :winter2019cooldog:

A very nice idea! So far there are two Snow block versions. The static one takes no damage. If you are using the compositions, all the snow blocks are static. There is however the non static one. That can be moved and damaged. Sadly there is no wreck so once damaged you will be able to move through it but not see the debris. I will try to update it but i do not know how to add a wreck to an object.

Will it be possible to have the snow block be damageable. Making a mission where i have a wall and i wanted it to blow up and make a way for AI to attack from.

Hmm sadly I do not know how that can be done. If you use the object classname to attach it to the bullets have you tried using the big snowball? The one used as a ball for soccer. Or do the Christmas tree decoration balls work? To see if any of the addon objects can be used.

Hello, I am trying to attach your explosive snowballs to bullets from a fired gun using an Eventhandler. It works for vanilla objects, but not anything for the Christmas pack. Is there a reason why?

Only if it cannot be used by your group members in any other way. A steam subscription seems easier. You will not have to manually update the addon that way too :steamthumbsup:

Resigned the 7 .pbos that were reporting an error. Hope they are now fixed because each upload takes a while with 1mbs upload speed :steambored:

The update just took place. Now all .pbos are signed and ready. About the issues your server mentions it is the same key for all files that are signed in the same way. If you cannot use the addon on your server I can sign all .pbos again hoping it will fix the issue.

Still some pbos are wrong, they are all there but DSUtils is also saying 7 signatures are wrong.

When I look at the mod on my PC and server not all pbo's have signatures, also according to my server some pbo's with signature have issues. Here is an export of what my server is telling me: https://pastebin.com/hkFDH79Y

Damage Resistant Drivable Sleigh added. Same with the first one but with much much more armor capabilities :steamthumbsup:
