State animal shelters and state animal control right now do not increase or decrease happiness from any demographics. I would say that state animal shelters should increase happiness for environmentalists, make you be perceived as a more compassionate leader while also decreasing happiness of conservatives and possibly capitalists (it does have the word state in the policy after all). Meanwhile state animal control should increase the perception of being a strong leader while making environmentalists unhappy and conservatives happy.

The death penalty policy in game right now does not cost anything to do however in the United States The death penalty is often far more expensive than even life imprisonment. I would say that the policy should have a much needed cost to it, in fact a fairly substantial cost at least in the united states it should be a few billion dollars a year. This could then be effected by another policy in the same category which would be how someone on death row is killed, with something like a firing squad being cheap with lethal injection being the most expensive although the most compassionate way.

I would also love to see an expansion to policing to have private policing. This could be a statistic/situation similar to private schools, which increases based on GDP and the percentage of people in your country that are wealthy. Private policing could be increased by policies such as gated communities and community policing. Also when you have situations such as vigilante mobs that could increase private policing. I would envision private policing as something that decreases equality, increases certain situations such as ghettos but is cheaper than public policing while also allowing some of the worst situations to deal with themselves if you have a high amount of wealth in your country. Private police should also already exist in every country which it is not banned in because of things like security guards at mansions and certain businesses which already exist in real life.

I would love to see an expansion to the Transportation category. One of the perhaps most effective changes would be to create a new statistic for bicycle usage. Bicycle usage should decrease car usage by a lot decrease bus usage a moderate amount and have little to no effect on rail usage. Currently in the game pro-bicycle policies evenly decrease the usage of cars, busses, and trains which is not realistic. I would love to see other policies interact with this statistic such as banning cars in cities also increasing bicycle usage as well as if you have a large portion of poor citizens since bicycles are a more affordable option than motor vehicles.

There is one translation issue for german. In the "light bulb menu" you go to "Steuer" (Taxes) and Choose "Revenue Services" (yes, that's also the german name. don't know if thats intentional). The bigger problem is that the description in the right upper part of the window is incomplete. It says "Ein Revenue Service stellt sicher". The sentence is not complete. It translates to "A revenue service ensures" and that's it.

@Panaperez, Hi and thank you, if you cannot notice the new policies for example then yes, unsub and sub again.

I didn't specifically change anything that would have that effect and not that I have any control over popularity at all, it could have something to do with one of the modded simulations though.

I'll keep an eye out over the next few updates, but again, it seems like a weird bug.

(P.S. I agree with the complaints that surveys used to give me 5%, but now they're giving me 90%).

@The Future Looked Bright, No idea why, but I have zero control over anything like that so it's not an intentional feature, others also reported the opposite that they start at 0% and find it hard to win, so it's something weird with the game that the devs need to look into.

I installed this with the game and realised something wasn't right - I'm running 90+% approval ratings and voting intentions from the start of the game, and regardless of what I do, this does not decline. Every election is a landslide of 85%+. This is the only mod installed. Any ideas?

State Orphanages should decrease unemployment the same way that state animal shelters does. it should also be way more expensive, the average cost of an orphanage is 2,000-50,000 a year and with the current amount of orphans in the US that would result in a cost of 6.4B to 128B a year in costs currently the cost is far less than that for the policy. I know that's a massive range I just looked it up on google didn't really do any real research. Policies like Childcare provision and Family planning should also help reduce the cost of the state orphanages policy also the policy should increase youth happiness and possibly parents as well.

Also the icon for Land Value Tax says LAT instead of LVT.

A few small things.

Prisoner Tagging as a policy should reduce prison overcrowding because having more prisoners under house arrest can obviously reduce the strain on the prison system.

This is a problem with vanilla Democracy and basically every mod ever is just that the Drug enforcement agency is a very weak policy which does nearly nothing.
