Imagine whining about "eurocentrism" in a Civ 5 mod

Is there a way you could link all the names to their respective civs?

Geronimo is in base game.

No Geronimo?

This is true, and I guess that part of 99% of historical armies leads into another problem I have with civ, but then I'd really be complaining that I don't have Europa Universalis IV and it's DLCs or Total Rome II and it's DLCs, because they both cover some those obscure military/social groups (but, I have no clue if they represent them any differently). And I didn't mean the research/wonder voiceovers, XD I meant the units themselves.

Yeah, I should have included more women. In eu4 devs introduced even Women in History DLC with great women characters. On the other hand, voiceovers in civ5 are rather... Extremely minor thing... And to be honest it's not like there are 50 guys doing voiceovers and 0 women, just one guy so it's weird example... And I see nothing strange with male units as 99% of historical armies were male (Joan of Arc, Trung Sisters and such gals are famous exactly because they are very rare exceptions). You have Catherine, Elisabeth, Wu Zetian, Boudicca, Maria Theresa as great leaders as well as - arguably hardly deserving - Maria of Portugal and Dido who were added just for the sake of more women in the game.

Difficult request, but the list needs more women (but that goes for Civ in general, from everything from units to voiceovers it's so male I find this game very difficult to play anymore).

Oscar Niemeyer for great engineers would be great. He planned the capital city of Brazil, Brasilia (one of the only in the world that is an UNESCO World Heritage Site), collaborated with other architects on the UN Headquarters in NYC and signed multiple works across the world, he is considered one of the most important figures in modern architecture. Plus he is my favorite great person and it would be awesome to have him in the game

Even though I don't play Scandinavian civs yet, I agree with isnorden. :billy:

I'd personally like to see more Scandinavian greats in every category, since I usually play as Denmark or Sweden. The biggest problem would be with the writers, though: it's harder than I thought to find English translations of familiar qutes from most Scandinavian authors.

@Krajzen: I appreciate how you don't discriminate when you choose important art and people. It seems that you are making a great effort to look at the big picture and not be biased.

It's just that whenever a new Civ pack came out they terminated the GP that became leaders, such as Genghis Kahn and Gustavus Adolphus.
