Because it's not made for Repentance, the mod API was updated and now it's different from Afterbirth+'s. Check the description, there you can find the version for Rep.

When I use this in Repentance it gives you all four items.

I just noticed mods are back. Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to update this and instead I'll make a version specific for Repentance. If I update this then it won't work for people who are still on AB+.

Hey, Mods' been enabled after the last update this morning, but this mod does not work as intended. I can pick all the four items, not just choose one from the four. Maybe you'd check it out?

In theory yes. But I can't really tell until we see what are they changing with the update for the mod API I heard they're working.

Will repentance items be supported when mods are enabled? Enemies in the ashpit &mausoleum are so ridiculously annoying and difficult to deal with, especially in the hard mode, I'm sure a boost at the start helps a lot.

The original idea was to remove treasure rooms from the first floor but I'm not really a modder, what I did was super basic coding. So if anyone reads this and knows how to do that I'll add it to the mod.

Good mod. How about these items appearing in the item room, or possibly keeping the item room empty? After selecting a starting item, you can still take the item from the item room which is kinda weak

If you're lucky you can get a strong start with Apollyon but I think the stat increase is not that big. Unless you purposefully restart until you get several good active items.

I'm glad, it was definitely the point of the mod. I noticed too that an extra item is not a free win so I may leave it that way. If picking out of random 4 items is enough then I guess this mod is done.

Been playing with this for 5 days and I gotta say, really prefer having this mod while playing challenges as most of them don't even give you a single treasure room. I know it goes against the "challenge" part, but I like that at least one item out of 4 that spawn will make my run significantly less miserable. Same with just playing the main game and random runs. I think that this gives the game a more forgiving and fun experience while still being moderately challenging instead of just going "Hey, I made the game super easy!", which I really adore. Here, have a treasure!

I just tested it and it didn't happen to me so maybe it didn't update for you. Try updating the mod by unsubscribing and subscribing again. That used to happen because when you touch any entity it triggers the item removing code.

The mod causes every pickup to disappear when using Dr. Fetus bomb tears in the shop (in the first floor).

to help with bugs are you using code to force the items to disappear, you shouldn't need to as items have a setting for if they're a 'more options' item and should handle the disappearing automatically ( item:ToPickup().TheresOptionsPickup = true )
