okay so bae with me, this was my first map ever, you are supposed to use the ladder but there are 2 walls on both sides of the ladder, i thought adding that would making climbing easier since it self aligned you but it made everything worse... you can enter through the ladder but it's a bit funky.

as for the npc part, there WAS supposed to be scripting to show an end but since i was so new i didnt know how to add custom sounds and or scripts. so as of now it's just the map with npc to kill.

you COULD clear the map using admin cleanup, that will remove the friendly fire warning (i think)

2 questions because I'm not sure if I'm daft or not. How are you intended to actually enter the house? When I climb up the ladder I just get hit with an invisible wall and have to noclip through. Is there any way to finish and reset the map? Nothing happened when I cleared the whole house of armed npcs so I just killed everyone and got the non-combatant engagement message. Afterwards I tried to use admin cleanup to reset and while the npcs are back the message is stuck on my screen and I need to reload the map to play again.

this map is made purely with normal hl2 textures, if the missing texture itself is a reflection turn mat_specular to 0

if its the texture itself and not a reflection of a missing texture then you did something, i didnt have any mountable game at the time of making this map so i would be unsure to what could be causing this.

but i am fairly certain that it is a reflective missing texture problem so just do


mat_specular 0


and it should work, if not it's something on your end and i cannot do much other than to say "disable all your addons and only have the map enabled, restart your game to reset all game set GMA's and try the map"

it's techniclly meant for singleplayer but multiplayer is 100% doable, just dont have the other player run up the set of stairs until you are all ready

chances are it's glitched out for you, just reinstall the map and or make sure all your addons are disabled to ensure that this is not an addon conflict.

@om.sulejmani, if the error texture looks reflective type in console "mat_specular 0"

if it is a genuine Diffuse missing texture chances are it's something on your end, it uses base gmod textures that are all un-modified.

@Amorar, Late response on me so mb but thats honestly nothing i can really do about, all i did was gave them basic valve scripts where if they die (player or not) the mission fails

i dont understand why that would cause a no fail mission? unless youre talking about the 1 lady thats held hostage,she isnt supposed to fail, just the mother

this map is awesome.
But i found a bug: Civilians (that you are not supposed to shoot) don't fail the mission if you shoot them from a distance (This happened using an ArcCW Urban Decay M16)

it totally was so dirty, so i got my ARC9 to clean it out, it feels less cramped now!

but explosions going off in that room crash sometimes so i dont recomend it

the lights are bugged, the only one that goes out is the dining area light, but it's only by explosives
