@velcroboy333 @Oculyn I was using both of these mods in tangent with one another earlier (Last week), and was working perfectly. For me the Anima Tree dying occured after the update made to this mod on August 1.

Just trying to help narrow down when/where the conflict might be. But if other people were having the same issues before.. seems odd, since for me they occured afterwards.

That is weird, w/out digging in the code too much, I wonder if by making it "sowable" it adds a die after reaching maturity mechanic....I have several other plant based mods and this would be new to me, however, none of the others I work with are technically "immortal."

If the issue does come back, go ahead and add the conditional patch I mentioned below. If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask. Thanks!

i removed the lifespan patch. when testing it, it doesn't have the "limited lifespan" tag ingame. so if it still dies from rotting, i have no clue why. but for now it should at least be compatible again

@velcroboy333 i added the LSPGD patch because people were reporting that it died before i added said patch. I have no clue why it does and though of that idea to fix it for the time being. I'll remove it and see what happens but i have pretty much no clue what i'm doing!

Me again...I was just thinking that you might even consider removing the LSPGD patch all together. W/out it, the tree will live forever. With it, the tree will live for 500 years....which...is basically forever considering I don't know anyone who's played a colony that long.

Just a thought.

Hey, sorted out the dying tree thing. It seems that your powers combined with mine, we broke the game's logic. My mod increases Grow Days to 32.5 (necessary for timing of fruit harvest.) Your mod makes the tree mortal. But the value of 1200 for LSPGD x 32.5 = a number the game can't handle apparently and it rebels by killing the tree:captainclown:

Anyway, I can't get it to override your values on my end, so, if you would be so kind as to add a PatchOperationFindMod for Anima Fruit

noMatch can stay the original value, if you set the match value to 923, you will get roughly the same lifespan (500 years) and we won't go over the game-breaking limit. cheers :stein:

Update, seem to have been some thing with the Anima Fruit Mod causing the issue.

@Bunisher, @Oculyn, started a new playthrough, and I'm having the same issue now. Tried planting an anima tree to see what was going on, and for some reason as soon as it was planted it started to lose HP. I have the same mods that does things to the Anima Tree as I did before. The only thing I can think of that I added afterwards is the Android Tiers mod.

Tried looking in the log, but I don't really know how to interpret it. Anyone has any suggestions?

@Bunisher The tree has a grow % in vanilla as well so i did not want to change that. But i just pushed an update which should hopefully fix it dying from rotting. Please inform me if you run into any further issues!

@Paerific No, I still have the growing zone there. Set it to never cut, only regrow. But as I said, I've seen that the tree itself has a growing % ticking up, taking about 25 days to fully grow. And twice the tree has died on me and the only reason I can think of why its doing that is because its fully grown(?)

@Bunisher Do you remove the growing zone for the anima tree after you've planted it? Made that mistake once. My heart almost flew out from my chest when the tree screamed.. -.-

Does the sowable anima tree die after a while? I've noticed this twice now that my anima tree just dies and noticed that it has a grow % that goes up as times goes. I think 25 days or so for it to die.

I don't THINK there should be any issue but a good mod to use with this (that might be OP) is this one:

This way you can also increase / decrease the build radius of the anima tree as well as the anima scream debuff.

Thank goodness, this is the mod I was looking for. Do you know how hard it is to find a map that lets you build your base around an anima tree? Which is exactly what any sine tree worshipping tribal society would do?

I would recommend Uuugggg's mod TD Enchancement Pack which allows you to disallow harvesting on growing zones among other things.

Okay, so, new raid plan, take the psychically deaf person to go raid a place, and just repeatedly start and stop trying to plant the anima tree

so, with this mod installed the Anima Tree grows to full in 2 Days (unmodded is 25) and has a limited lifespan of 18 days, not sure if its something else in my mod list, but removing this mod does seem to fix it

thank you i recently switched mods and had to remove meditation freedom due to conflict i really missed being able to plant my tree where i wanted :)
