Are there any instructions how to make a nation purchasable in a particular scenario of the campaign? (example, make Italy troops purchasable in the second scenario of the SCW campaign)

I wish someone would make a mod to allow German infantry units as core units maybe latter in the Campaign, you can carry them through the last 4 of 5 Scenarios in the Spanish Civil War, not sure if it's Historically accurate but would be cool to use German infantry units:steamthumbsup:

I'm currently on the Ebro Scenario in the Vanilla Game playing on General Level difficulty, that Scenario is brutal just because of all of the enemy units and planes Geeze, this by far is the toughest Scenario in the SCW.

I've just added this mod to my game and it has really improved SCW. I wasn't enjoying it too much before as the AI units drove me crazy.
I have noticed something strange though. Since I installed the mod, I can no longer see the total of commendation points on the top bar. Everything else - prestige, slots etc is still there though. I know I still have the points as I get opportunities to use them but I can't see how many I've got.
I couldn't see any other comments about this so I'm wondering if I've done something wrong.
Any help would be much appreciated.

yes that worked.
I like it better then the stupid AI that is just running around like crazy.
On the other hand, it would be even better I think if we shouldnt have to buy our own infantry, just keep the infantry that was deliverd in the original game but then being able to control it. More realistic to me it seems, since I now just almost all the time only buy Colonial Infantry,

Ok, I subscribed to this mod but what now? I also crossed the box in the PC2 settings. Do I need to start a new campaign, or does this work on a campaign also that you are already 5 missions in?

I beat it, overall the main issue is the hero portraits are bugged to hell never seen one spanish man hero just his name and a blank face.

core issues are really only a big deal on two maps but the comments section has given instructions on how to fix this

The 5 star spanish unit on Teruel get's his XP reset on any action that gains Xp, probably due to the XP cap for this scer and not the mod's fault, still I question why he didnt just give us the 8 overstrength cav units as auxs instead of just one of them & then some more core slots.

Also in reply to krumpf you need to edit the scenario in the workshop folder of this mod because this mod overides changes you make to scenario in the base game folder

At Teruel a mass of cav overstrength units ( 8 in total with 17 overstrength totally to 32 slots ) were removed as noted in the log however you are compensated with 18 additional core slots... I made adjustments myself in my game because of this.

On the bilbo map or whatever the one known for it's "Iron belt" has one Ai unit that moves to our starting city and stays there the entire map

I cant really understand this long comment section so I will document my findings here:

It works, 0 issues, and i suppose the spanish foot troops never had transports so that's why you can't run nationalists with cav to help their mov but you can always just run italian troops with trucks ( dont do this ffs they are aux bros but at least they have the only good fighters early game)

2 AI bots on that map where you have to save the arty man

corran aka snow map 6 has 48 slots for some reason, the comments section gives info on how to change the slots yourself to fix this

Too many black portraits on heros i've never seen one spanish nationalist portrait just black generic face, clearly this has something to do with the mod I hope someone can make a mod fixing this.

I will edit this comment as I play through the game

When using this mod I am unable to modify the scenario using the in game editor. For example, in the starting scenario I am trying to change the starting slots and number of heroes generated but upon starting a new campaign it stays at the stock number of slots, 35, and no heroes are generated. Before the mod both of these changes would work. Is the correct path for the modified campaign AO0Spain? If not then where can I find the correct file to edit?

I'm playing this mod and it seems to be working fine; being able to control Spanish infantry is a much-needed improvement. I did notice - I have been issued two Heroes so far, and the portraits are both identical-- they both have the same blank (shadowed out) faces and nondescript uniforms. Is this part of this mod? Will all Heroes share this same generic "unknown" portrait?

Superb. A huge improvement to the game. It makes the first campaign actually enjoyable. Thank you for not making me suffer through dumb AI on my side.

Hello,
definitely one of the best ever mods for this game.
From now on you are in control of battlefield and no stupid KI takes silly decsions and eats up your valueable prestige points.
The game is now as it should have been from the beginning on.
Makes high skill levels much more playable and more doable as well.

Thank you for making this mod, dealing with overaggressive moron AI that uses your prestige bank is very frustrating. The devs should add an option to the game for the player to control Spanish units in this DLC. Anyway I am halfway through the SCW campaign and the only bug I'm getting from this mod is that I am now sometimes getting generic spanish heroes instead of Germans.

@realrick28 It happened to me at Teruel. You just need to put some of you core units into reserve until you don't exceed the limit any more, then it should be fine.

I can't deploy any of my troops on the Brunete mission. I've tried to go back to the last mission and replay the last few turns but it still doesn't work. Any ideas on how to fix?

When at Merida, I noticed I cannot assign a horse cart to my 203mm found in Gibraltar (first spanish map). Is this a bug of this Mod?

When activated after the first scenario (Seville) it is not possible to buy Spanish infantry as core.
Is this because of the new patch?

Great mod, but for some reason it crashes after I complete Madrid and wont save my core force to carry over? Any ideas on how to fix this?

Why isn't this mod showing up as a campaign? I'm running the Field Marshall Edition. The mod shows up under Mod Manager. ????

@RivvenDarke, aham, i see. I havent reach that point yet. So maybe it is just there is no prototype avaliable yet due to the date only, and not due to a bug of some sort in the mod, ill need to check it. Thanks for your answer.

The Ju-87 appears first in the "Return to Malaga" scenario. To get it earlier you need the "industrial connections" trait and some luck.

On the other hand, do you see prototypes to buy in your game with the mod? I think we should see the Ju87 prototype by Corunna road start and i dont see it, i am not able to buy any prototype, in fact none is offered by the start of Corunna road.

Here is a short explanation how to fix the 48 core slot issue at Corunna Road:

1. Start Panzer Corps 2
2. Open editor
3. Click file --> open
4. Open CorunnaRoad.pz2scn file
It is in the folder D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\1072040\2314075159\Campaigns\AO0Spain\06CorunnaRoad
Can also be C: drive, depends on your PC setup
5. Click edit --> Scenario Params
6. Click TAB "Players"
7. Scroll down to "core slots" and overwrite 48 with 72 (or 200 if you feel like it ;-))
8. Click "ok"
9. Click file --> save
10. Close editor and you are good

Important: You have to do it before you start Corunna Road. You can change it and load the last turn autosave from Early Madrid.

It seems that activate the mod and load old saves made without it would make spanish infantry being added only available as aux units instead of core. Started a new campaign with mod enabled from the beginning and they are displayed as core to purchase now.

@TheShark No, I have the added core slots free, but when I click one of the spanish infantry unit to purchase, it displays the slot needed as a hollow one - the one for aux slot. And they did become aux units instead of core.

Installed this mod, but it seems that spanish infantry are taking aux slot instead of core slot when purchasing, any idea what could be wrong?

by the way , the "control spanish infantry" part of the mod works. But there are issues with core troops amount in the mission past "Early Madrid" and there are no prototypes to buy neither.

After Seville (the first mission.) the Spanish Allies are pre-deployed again, with no ability to manage their movements etc. (second mission.)
Has anybody else had this bug before? Is it just the African Corps you can have control of?
I have read through the comments and one other person has had the same issue so I am not alone with this problem?

I have the "aux troops" ability and started a new campaign without the mod last nite. Havnt got past the 1st mission yet but will tonite. I have the "aux troops" ability and it is a big help! @TheShark Thanks for the tip on the verdeja issue. Ido have the mod that lets you keep it but have no gotten that far yet. Will see after the 2nd mission if I should put this mod back on without the patch

@TheShark, darng man! i wish i had asked before playing the whole early Madrid match till the end. You were right, i reloaded the last Toledo turn and when early Madrid starts , the verdeja was offered. Now i only need to play the whole match again with the Verdaja in game! sigh

For the no Verdeja issue, just reload the end of the previous scenario. It should re-fire the triggers when you restart the next scenario.
