You need to go to Start -> Mods (Wrench icon) -> My Mods -> Select the mods you want to play with -> press Play -> Yes reload
(dAAAmn that's a lot of actions)
With basic (old graphics) game - yes.
Inside, in the place of Desoulator.
you need to go to the Library town location, and pages will work there almost the same way skulls work at hermits, but pages are unique for each weapon.
Thank you!
Awaiting now for Skill Increase for Deluxe version :)
I've just fixed the issue I had... two month ago O.o
So yeah, I hope, I'll roll something out in a couple of days.
By *dull-ported* I mean that I only make it work on DE. Some flavours might be bugged (currently I have a problem with the Void Orb) and 90% of custom assets will be pixelated (since they're simply resized).
Currently I'm working on the russian localisation for VA-11 Hall-A and all my "hobby time" goes there.
For now I can't even say when I'll start to work on the update for this mod. Considering my IRL problems, I'm afraid, it might even take a year until I update it. Sorry.
I have a lot of work to do, so I doubt I'd get on it in next 2 month, even if there will be no technical issues by the time.
When you run the game, Steam asks whether it should run Deluxe, OpenGL Deluxe or Legacy version. This mod (same as nearly every mod out there) supports the Legacy version only.
HD or Classic?
Well... only a few pieces of armor this far. I'm not sure how will it work with better quality than original textures have, so I wasn't working on it seriously since I dont know how hight the quality of my work should be.
But, since you're asking, I'll be posting all the progress starting tomorrow ;)
Updated the description
Now it should be playable
> collocatum duodecimum a very strange battle
ooops, sorry, this location shouldn't ever be displayed to the player, I must've missed it while was clearing the mod files.
Well, it seems I have to update the mod once more =)
It replaces an orb (if there is specified one in your inventory) with the one without flavours, so "deflavoured" one could be sold.
Ye, quite weird workaround
PS: sry, I'd have sent this comment 8h ago, but my inet provider decided otherwise =/
Eh. Did I really forget to update it?O.O Anyway, there was only one minor bug, so... nvm.
Well, ye, to combine the two mods shouldn't be a real problem (just merge each file carefully with collision correction).
So I'd be glad if you'll be really intrusive about bugs ^^
Thank you very much, your answer helps me alot about the game system.
And also, the Book of Secret, too.
Ye, I forgot the other, more safe way of cheating with the items. Find the <inventory> tag (next to <progress>) and inside it add the string for the item you want to add to your inventory: "<item _class="[armor OR weapon]" type="[heavy:light:skull:sword:bow:staff:book:{in this mod also: berboots:deforb:offorb}]" level="[item lvl aka ID*]" owner="" alt="0"/>"
To be clear:
heavy, light, skull, deforb and berboots are armor;
sword, staff, bow, book and deforb are weapons;
item levels are nothing but an item id's that is used to identify the item within its type, to assign icons to items and to sort them in traders' lists. So "full"/"unique" identifiers in this game appear as item class + type + level (e.g. "weapon bow 2" and "armor skull 3").
There's no legal way to retrieve the item that was set as a replacement for another reward that you've already got when won the battle first time, and that is the reason why I did such replacements only one or two times in the earliest versions of this mod.
However, you can edit your savegame file and set the level you want to replay as unpassed.
Not sure, but I think that to do so you need to remove the entry for the level in <progress> tag, which will look like "<pearl id="1_5_river_escape" diff="medium" status="perfect"/>". So you need to find and remove the string "<pearl id="[ID of the level you want to replay]" diff="[some difficult]" status="[pass status]"/>" in your save file OR edit it in a way like "<pearl id="[ID of the level you want to replay]" diff="easy" status="pass"/>".
"Book of Secrets" reveals the "???" location and gives some hints on puzzles, you can read more about it here: http://defendersquest.wikia.com/wiki/Book_of_Secrets
In some battle which rewards gold and now replaced by item, if I have done that battle before and got the gold reward, now how can I get that new item?
I ask this because in the non-mod game, I can't get unique item twice by repeat battle.
And if anyone can, please tell me what the "Book of Secret" do?
I find that after i equip Book of Secret, in normal game i can see the Strange Monument, in NG+ i can't. And after i input the answer in Strange Monument in normal game, golden skull is not obtainable.
