Is there any setup required? I just built a resource depot and I see the ship coming in and out but im not getting any tax from them?

@terhun11 - it should still work. I am not aware of any issues. If you find some let me know. However, I have not personally played the game in a while so I cannot say for sure.

Will this work with an already made station? I downloaded the mod to my server after already having built resource stations and have yet to see anything occur or work? in system or out.

@hsfilgueiras - In my most recent patch i balanced a lot of those rewards. (mainly reducing them sadly) But before this patch i was trying too hard for realism, when i spawned ships to manually refine i was actually filling their entire cargo with raw ores. However i didn't take into effect just how big the cargo bays in those auto-generated ships near the core got. Like you said 700k Avorion is just astronomically more than i really intended it to give. So the ore is still added to the ships, but it is limited by the same mechanic as the 'out of system' mechanic. This is still random but hopefully more predictable. But to reassure you, the relationship of the trading ship does NOT play a role in the income function.

i've been enjoying the mod a lot, its a great QOL and makes the grind a lot shorter. But i noticed the following : when outside the sector with the RD i'd get about 4k of the main resource, then i decided to build up my base near the core and spent some time in the same sector as the RD and some ships would give me 700k avorion (this was the most but i got a few 300k) however, as i killed xsotan while cargo haulers where in the system my relations with the faction grew and now i only get 500. It makes sense since the player tax also reduces with relations but is this intentional in your mod?

@terhun11 I haven't played the game in a while. I will check this mod and my other income mods this weekend to make sure they work with the current patch.

@jjalison Sorry to hear that it has made that much of an impact, there is a regional income function supposed to balance the resources, but that may be buggy. I'll take a look.

I found that in the xanion regions adding one RD adds 100,000,000 in income in a very short time. Over-powered IMO. Is there a way to reduce this?

so ive been very daring in my SP save and started an alliance that lives in the core. HQ in -11:-54 with most of my ships needing to be upgraded to avorion just about. this will help out alot with that 4500/3min income.

@minato - each one will print it's own message. It'd be very challenging to have them communicate across sectors. Avorion isn't coded with inter-sector communication in mind. So it's not really worth the effort to add it just to reduce the message spam. I could probably add a checkbox onto the stations GUI to toggle the messages from that station off if that'd help.

This is awesome. Now I've a reason to build a resource depot. Doesn't seem unbalanced and it's pretty nice to have a bit of passive resource income without needing to micro a fleet of miners.

"Balanced" is a very challenging target. I can tell you it's probably worth the 15 mil credits. it looks like it outputs about this much every 3 minutes at various locations. It has a 20% chance to quadruple them. but it's highly dependent on randomness and distance from the core

The mod extends the ResourceDepot.initialize() function to add a script to the sector. My understanding is that it's retroactive and should apply to existing stations the next time the server is started, or the sector is reloaded from memory.

Does this work on pre-built stations or does it only affect "new" resource depots?
