Dance of Aurora would be better if it provided 1 faith and 1 production.

I never got Tithe, always got the one which gives your units an extra 30 HP heal bonus when next to a city that follows yours Really helps when you're invading or defending, since you get in two turns what would take 4-5 turns without. That and when invading you still get said bonus, so 40 HP instead of 50 when docking a few troops near enemy cities. This belief has saved me SO many troops and probably games.

The Unique Components mod made Dance of Aurora broken while I played Sweden. +2 faith and +2 science on tundra tiles? Ridiculous. What's more, all that faith with To the Glory of God reformation belief? So many great people it hurts.
Jarms 29 Mar, 2016 @ 3:14am
Dance of Aurora should be +1 faith and +1 production. That would make it similar to a tundra styled Petra. It's balanced by the fact that Petra doesn't work on flood plains, DoA would work on tundra rivers, but not tundra forrest. You can even have the ability taken away from you, and you can't build farms on non-fresh water tundra.

I also agree that Ceremonial Burial and Goddess of Love need a change.
The former should be changed to +2 happiness per 3 cities, whilst the latter should be changed to +2 happiness for cities with population 8+.

Something else I might add is I think Ancestor Worship should be changed to +1 culture from shrines and temples.

Could you buff Holy Warriors? I always found it ridiculous that your first Composite Bowman cost as much as a MIssionary, and the faith inflation gets insane after just like 3+ purchases. I had a game where 1 Longswordsman cost 800 FAITH! TL;DR: It's a really weak ability.
Wiseguy 7 Jan, 2015 @ 5:32am
Goddess of hunt only says "furs, deer and bison". What about ivory?
Danny 2 Dec, 2014 @ 5:21am
God of war should be gain faith for every unit killed (not barbs) and cities conquered not following your religion.
It's a god of WAR not defence... :\

Dance of Aurora is unfortunately still useless. Tundra is a curse. +1 food or production would probably be more balanced.
Good stuff otherwise.

I would change ceremonial burial to like, .75 happiness per city beliving or 2 happiness per 3 cities to balence it. The version in the unmodded game is too weak and this version is too strong(Firaxis explicitly nerfed it for that reason).

Couple balance issues that I see personally.

Ceremonial Burial : They changed this for a reason. This allowed for like 50 cities while only going maybe 4 unhappy. I pulled it off, at least.
Goddess of Love : This was actually my most used pantheon belief as any religion based civ. As I usually play wide unhappiness is an issue. The extra happy from cities with 6 pop lets my 5 pop cities grow to 6 pop without any unhappiness trouble. This lets all of my 5 pop cities work an extra tile or specialist slot.
Interfaith Dialogue : This was one of the better enhancers imo as paired with holy order you could just spam missionaries into a 20+ pop holy city and reap the science over and over again.

Everything else is perfect. Thanks for the buff.

Yeah, I have just released update with fixes to Pilgrimage yield and Aurora/Reliquary text.
Krajzen  [author] 15 Mar, 2014 @ 5:33am
Ok, so today I am going to change it along with uploading my NEW BALANCE MODS :)
Spartachilles 14 Mar, 2014 @ 5:48pm
I think Pilgrimage would do fine with 2 faith. I thought it was already one of the much better beliefs as it could really rack up faith, especially helpful when combined with things to purcahse with faith.
Krajzen  [author] 14 Mar, 2014 @ 4:53am
playeralyssa -> Click 'SUBSCRIBE'. Kosh -> ok, I will nerf Pilgrimage - to 3 or 2 faith, as before?

HOW DO YOU GET A MOD
Koshi 7 Mar, 2014 @ 4:43am
Good mod, but I'd have to agree that pilgrimage is too strong now. I was playing Mongolia with Poland as my neighbour. They founded Catholicism and got the Pilgrimage founder belief. I founded my own religion 3 turns later. 20 turns later they are putting out 91 faith/turn, while second place has.....8. I eventually started a war with them and captured the following by the 10th turn of the war. 9x Missionary, 3x Great Prophet, 1x Inquisitor. Now that the pressure is off I could try to purge Catholicism from the world, but by this point 33 cities are following it because of the massive missionary spam, so yeah, it's a tad too much.
Krajzen  [author] 7 Mar, 2014 @ 3:41am
Oops, sorry I'll fix that.
Wexmajor 6 Mar, 2014 @ 4:53pm
The in-game text for Reliquary and Dance of the Aurora is wrong because of typos in the text XML
Wrecked'emRanger 28 Feb, 2014 @ 5:03am
Other that the pilgrimage buff I love it. I always hate playing against pilgrimage because it feeds it's self, once they have converted one neighboring civ it's a real pain just to keep your own religion dominant in your own cities. I don't think it need a buff but I'll try this out anyway.
Keep up the good work
gingerbreadboy 28 Feb, 2014 @ 4:03am
I agree that buffing weak beliefs is better than nerfing strong, because as it is now, religion is not so big a deal and this gives players more options. intersting mod, I think this is what this game needs. I've got to try it first though, to be sure
goodolarchie™ 27 Feb, 2014 @ 10:16pm
Did you really nerf World Church or is that a typo? Pre-BNW, people said the same thing of Cerimonial Burial as they do now of Tithe. i.e. it is hand over fist better than alternatives, so it got nerfed into oblivion instead of buffing the other beliefs, oops. This is a step in the right direction. It's nice to have several good choices instead of a min-max funnel that leads to stale gameplay.
Cheggf 26 Feb, 2014 @ 12:40pm
Except it's less powerful if the city has less than eight population or others are competing for the city's dominant religion -- but if neither of those happen then, yeah, it's alot better, so usually it is, unless the city's you attempt to convert will heavily guard against conversions.
Krajzen  [author] 26 Feb, 2014 @ 12:38pm
Yeah - so this is why I buffed other beliefs :P
Cheggf 26 Feb, 2014 @ 12:36pm
Oh, so it's like Church Property except even more overpowered.
Krajzen  [author] 26 Feb, 2014 @ 12:35pm
+1 gold per 4 followers of religion (anywhere), my mod doesn't change it. On civ fanatics forum Tithe was frequently top1 founder belief, completely dominating polls 'best belief' etc - especially after nerfing Ceremonial Burial in BNW :P
Cheggf 26 Feb, 2014 @ 12:31pm
Which one is Tithe?
Krajzen  [author] 26 Feb, 2014 @ 12:30pm
Antagonist, I had the same with vanilla Tithe, many many times :d Now at least other beliefs are stronger so there is bigger dilemma during religion customisation ;)
Cheggf 26 Feb, 2014 @ 12:28pm
Without me even trying my religion spread to most-every city, and I was getting +50 GPT.
Leugi 26 Feb, 2014 @ 10:18am
I would have given Pilgrimage some tourism on the Palace Building or the Grand Temple; but the rest seem interesting.
Pokepug 26 Feb, 2014 @ 4:27am
Tithe is better only because most people play tall. This mod looks fun I'm going to try it out. I hate how my religions almost always seem to have the same beliefs.
Krajzen  [author] 26 Feb, 2014 @ 12:57am
I would rather say Tithe was overpowered - polls on civ fanatics have shown that players not only prefer Tithe to Church Property (greatly prefer) but prefer Tithe to all other beliefs.
Cheggf 25 Feb, 2014 @ 4:50pm
"Church Property adds +3 gold per city, instead of +2 "
Because it wasn't already overpowered.
