Thanks mate :) I'm sorry i cant fix whats bugged because i dont know where it comes from. But i'll provide a slimer version and credit you.
Although i' plan on sharing both one version exactly like yours, and one where i alter certains texture colors (mostly making all hull whites so that colors can be applied by users).

So with 2.0 generator/battery etc have a shader issue where they "glow" for some reason. I suggest people wanting to use this mod to edit its content and remove thoose textures for now.

I just tried to install it and in-game, I'm getting the following --- Error enabling mod 2320699705: 2320699705 is problematic: Mod 'GFX Overhaul: Replicant Dreams' [2320699705]'s base game requirement (1.0 to 2.0) doesn't match version 2.0.6 of the game.

Any tips or do we need to wait for the mod to be updated?

fixed it!
The mod settings of the galaxy need to be copied from two places, I made a new galaxy "test" (c:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Avorion\galaxies) test had all of the mods working, so I pulled the "moddata" folder from it and the "modconfig.lua" file from that one and placed both in my playing galaxy, now everything works fine.

I Ran thru that sequence, uninstalled the mod from the game menue, then unsubscribed in steam, rebooted, started a new game, exited, reinstalled the mod and enabled in game, reset the game, started a new game, graphics are there, but when starting my savegame the graphics show up in the sector loading for a few seconds then go back to default, no new graphics in game. It seems tied to that savegame. I noticed in the galaxy folder there is a moddata section so I took the folders from the test galaxy and put them in, but the behavior did not change. I think the game is storing the graphics somewhere else, it could be steam related...

@phoenixosu this is the first time I have heard of such a bug or behavior.
You must have some MOD that reverts the original textures or blocks those from my MOD - not sure, just a guess.
Maybe uninstall my mod, run the game, make a new game save without my mod, then subscribe to my mod again and see if anything fixes[?].
My mod is purely graphical, it changes absolutely nothing in the game mechanics, scripts, etc. - the only conflict it can have is with other graphical mods.

One more thing comes to my mind - from my own experience with modding games...
If you have too many of them at once, maybe there is no room in the memory for the next ones, or for all of them at once, and the game cuts a part of them or overwrites them in memory with others - only this can explain such strange behavior.

A few more notes, I now never see the new textures on that save game, however, I do see them when I load a creative mode galaxy. In the loading screen I sometimes see the original textures and THEN I see the new ones. It sounds like I'm having the same issue as another user earlier in this thread.

I really love the changes that this mod brings! And appreciate how much work goes into something like this (many thanks).

I do have a number of mods but none are graphics related (I removed the old armor replacer), and I keep loosing all of your pretty textures any time I go into a new sector (like hidden mass signature asteroid belt) and press F9 to go into strategy mode, when I do this I notice that all of the textures are now the default ones and it stays that way in every view, new sector, build mode, etc. When the game starts I see the new title screen and at first I always do see the new textures.

My question is really, is this a known issue, or do I need to hunt down some sort of conflict? Hopefully not an issue with my savegame (not likely but....)?

Yeah, just find it looks a little busy, the others look solid, if anything the hex pattern on the Trinium is a little large. Love the work though ;)

@Boson, I have no idea why you have problems, since my MOD logo is displayed correctly - maybe you have another MOD that overwrites textures in the game?

- and, I know about this "bugs", I wrote about it in the description, the game devs used shaders there weird - I have no influence on it. I would have to "poke" in shaders files, and I don't know much about it and I don't want to do it.
The only option is to wait for them to fix this or change the way shaders are used for these textures.

So i have it installed and all. The menu screen has the textures loaded, but in game the default textures are being used. Any help with that? I already tried restarting

Just some further agreement with the turret base thing. It looks out of place and jarring. Otherwise, this mod is simply amazing. No more silly camo blocks.

I must agree with Schlagschinken about turret base texture, it looks like it's missing a texture and is not in theme of darkness⛤like other textures.

Everything else is very quality work, shaders, and fog is blending nicely and is not eye catching as vanilla fog.

First of all, amazing job.

I have no skillzors for GFX, and as a indie game dev I need to hire someone to make them, so I really appreciate ones who has them.

I like Dark Theme on Windows, Linux and whatever, Coding IDE's and on every program what supports it.
And your mod makes game dark and more realistic looking (which i prefer too).

@Schlagschinken This is not a bug, it is deliberate, a special texture for the foundation of the turrets. It's supposed to be like a "futuristic" socket / spot[?] ;)
