Anyone know if it still works?

Mod works confirmed.

If you want a mod that also affects courtiers, use mine: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/itemedittext/?id=3173883641

Does anyone know if it is still working?

Thank you, for the update :)

Yeah, that happens sometimes. Try redownloading.
kadaj1st 12 Sep, 2022 @ 3:42am
just download this, and it says missing descriptor mod
grandembassy  [author] 8 Sep, 2022 @ 3:15pm
Updated to 1.7!
grandembassy  [author] 7 Sep, 2022 @ 2:46pm
Using the word "children" relatively. So even if your children are 70 years old, they won't leave your court.
Gliese581 7 Sep, 2022 @ 10:51am
When you say children, do you count adult characters that are your children or does it only apply to minors?
grandembassy  [author] 26 Apr, 2022 @ 11:14am
Nope, all this mod does is prevent children from wandering off. Sorry :(
Gamer 26 Apr, 2022 @ 8:04am
Does this mod address the scenario where a daughter-in-law goes back to their original court when their father dies? I'd like to see grandkids from my heir and I can't do that if his wife is halfway across Europe
Nani 11 Feb, 2022 @ 11:52am
Thank you so much!! We all appreciate it mate.:steamthumbsup:
grandembassy  [author] 11 Feb, 2022 @ 5:41am
Done! Thank you for the nudge :)
Nani 11 Feb, 2022 @ 1:38am
Heya, is it possible to update the mod for 1.5.1 please? It seems the bug still hasn't been fixed.
grandembassy  [author] 29 Dec, 2021 @ 3:57pm
Sure! I mean, I literally changed just a few lines in the game's code rather brainlessly. Go right ahead!!
Henriette 29 Dec, 2021 @ 12:14pm
Hey Grandembassy, may I incorporate this into a court life immersion mod I'm making? You'll be given clear credit of course.
grandembassy  [author] 12 Oct, 2021 @ 4:14am
I share your frustration, but the last time I played CK3 was in February. Currently jsut maintaining the mods I have made. Very sorry, hope you can find another mod author to fix Paradox's mess!!
HeirandtheSpare 11 Oct, 2021 @ 7:09pm
Can you make a mod that fixing court wandering in general? I'm having a real issue with my children's spouses not coming to my court with them and staying at their original locations. Also my son wandered off for no reason, even though set to inherit a duchy. WTH?
Ronin! 10 Sep, 2021 @ 9:40am
Thanks a lot bro! :B1::thumbs:
grandembassy  [author] 10 Sep, 2021 @ 9:38am
I should think so! The mod is updated to 1.4.
Ronin! 10 Sep, 2021 @ 9:12am
1.4.4 Compatible?
grandembassy  [author] 27 Jul, 2021 @ 4:54am
@Lascalo Good to hear, and glad I could help :)
Lascalo 27 Jul, 2021 @ 3:11am
@grandembassy
First of all, the fact that there are no wandering minors is enough. Thank you for your satisfactory reply.
grandembassy  [author] 26 Jul, 2021 @ 4:43am
I think this only applies to children (this is how weird CK3 modding is, I'm not sure myself). You should be able to invite grandchildren and great-grandchildren back to court, though
Lascalo 26 Jul, 2021 @ 1:06am
This is the mod I need the most now. I have a question: Do the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the court owner ever leave the court?
G.Strategos 19 Jun, 2021 @ 4:23pm
@grandembassy
Sure, I understand! Thanks again for your help and responsiveness!
Cheers!
grandembassy  [author] 19 Jun, 2021 @ 4:20pm
So this mod focuses on children, as per the title ;) The changes that would affect your situation that are in the mod are minute and would not cause this behavior. Indeed, the changes you're suggesting would be perfect for a more general "Fixing Court Wandering" mod, but that's just not what this mod is, hope that makes sense!

And thanks for playtesting my mod a lot, very useful feedback!
G.Strategos 19 Jun, 2021 @ 3:46pm
@grandembassy
Thanks for you replies and help! Yeah, it's probably more convenient for your close family members to stay at home, but it's probably making the AI to act a bit weirdly (woman in England-husband in Sicily). Good to know about IRONMAN. Will play-test more for sure.
PS
Btw what have you changed by updating the mod? I mean have you increased the chances for a woman to follow her husband, instead of staying with her father court? I mean is it less likely to follow him if her husband is unlanded? That would be maybe more logical.

Cheers!
grandembassy  [author] 19 Jun, 2021 @ 3:31pm
Ah, right, I think my mod might make your sister less likely to leave your court, but she still should in time. I don't actually see this as an issue, since my mod is focused on convenience for the player, rather than actual roleplay/things making sense. Wandering chance should not be affected by ironman/not ironman unless there is something wrong in the core game runtime (very doubtful).
G.Strategos 19 Jun, 2021 @ 3:22pm
@grandembassy
My sister not following her husband though (a knight in Messine), is probably connected to this mod, it's practically the same issue before your latest update today. Right?
Cheers!
G.Strategos 19 Jun, 2021 @ 3:06pm
UPDATE: Well, just to be sure I started a new game NOT IRONMAN and things looking normal again. So I think it's an IRONMAN issue? Not sure if your mod is also affected or makes the issue weirder. I'll surely investigate more and let you know.

PS
My niece is also in Messine (following her father) with her children, but her husband is in my court.
A complete mess, I know. It's the first time I'm seeing such behavior.

grandembassy  [author] 19 Jun, 2021 @ 2:47pm
Hmm I don't think that is something this mod affects at all. I think this is something that's outside the scope of what this mod does. I honestly have no idea why that is happening (the game thinking he is in your court). This game can be very confusing :'(
G.Strategos 19 Jun, 2021 @ 2:43pm
@grandembassy

hmm I think I've found another possible issue.
Starting as Duke William the Bastard. My sister is in my court but her husband and all her children are visiting Messine. Her husband is also visiting Messine, but I can't invite him back to my court because he's already a member of it? I also CAN dismiss him, but instead of leaving my court they'll leave Messine? Is that a problem that my half sister isn't following her husband? Is that some kind of mechanism, because I have more than enough courtiers (60) or is something broken? Any insight will be much appreciated!

You too!
G.Strategos 19 Jun, 2021 @ 5:35am
@grandembassy
No problem, I'll test it ASAP and let you know.
Have a nice weekend!
grandembassy  [author] 19 Jun, 2021 @ 5:22am
Ah, very, very good catch. I believe you should be able to "invite to court?" Still, I made a patch that should fix that issue. Cheers, thanks for catching that!
G.Strategos 19 Jun, 2021 @ 3:58am
@grandembassy
I think I have found a small issue. By using this, various wives prefer to stay with their father, even after marrying someone. What do you think about it?
Cheers!

:)

Done!
Seoh 18 Mar, 2021 @ 9:14am
Update for 1.3?
grandembassy  [author] 18 Mar, 2021 @ 6:02am
Sorry, I just saw this! Unfortunately, it does change the checksum. I hope your children don't abandon you in ironman :)
Sinner 16 Mar, 2021 @ 12:57pm
Looks like a fantastic mod and just what I was looking for. Is this mod compatible with Ironman, or does it change the checksum?
Karmapowered 31 Jan, 2021 @ 1:51am
Absolutely essential mod to my CK3 enjoyment.

Paradox wandering AI makes no sense whatsoever. Pre-teen heirs or claimants merrily visiting the countryside in the Middle ages, with their parents having no word or means to prevent it, yeah sure. Whatever the Devs were smoking sure must have been good.

Thank you for creating a mod that is compatible with the latest game version. Thumbs up.
SykesTiamat 23 Dec, 2020 @ 7:08pm
yeah , but usually you unlock that sooo late in the game that by the time you reach it , i've already done most of the stuff i wanted lol , i'll check the mod you suggested :D
grandembassy  [author] 23 Dec, 2020 @ 6:37pm
@SykesTiamat hahaha I'm still around! Hmm I'm pretty sure the Divine Right innovation does this, right? But if that's not what you're looking for, I think the "Sue for Peace" mod is what you're after! If you've ever played EU4, it's basically just like warring in EU4: making demands with your war score, taking counties or gold, etc. I hope that helps! :D
SykesTiamat 23 Dec, 2020 @ 6:05pm
Hey, i've been enjoying CK3 again with your mods , BUT , if you are still into CK3 mods , and if you are maybe out of ideas, how about you create a mod that lets you use multiple county claims in a single war ? thanks for the awesome mods so far !
grandembassy  [author] 18 Dec, 2020 @ 2:34pm
@Irisiane Hmm good point! I made this without roleplay/accuracy in mind, but I'll take a look at that too! Characters actually have some different hidden "traits" like Boldness, Greed, and Energy that are determined by their traits. These are considered in the base game (characters with higher boldness/greed/energy are more likely to start wandering around). So, I'll try to figure out a way to make something like this but less cheaty :)
Irisiane 18 Dec, 2020 @ 2:19pm
Thank you for making this. Is it possible to use opinion and traits, especially ambitious combined with impatient, to allow some close family to wander? It would be odd for those who hate their relatives to stay put if they weren't incentivised (with a job) or forced (imprisoned).
