Must admit, the duplication issue is an one of the weirdest issues to have.

Got to ask is there a way to add a Global Scope variable to skip the script if it has already ran?

It would spawn anywhere from 2x the amount of enemies or 8x the amount of enemies. so that was fun

@sonikku dammit It is using map extensions. I ran into a problem where the vmap extensions loaded multiple times based on each additional addon loaded. Haven't touched the mod for a while but it might be related with the use of wildcards with some of the logic I used.

Are you using Vmap extensions? Theoretically as long as map extensions can be layered there should be no conflict with another mod that also uses map extensions unless prop placements conflict. I only used map extensions on the More Resin mod so I'd like to say it works without testing it.

@Fight Night at McLovin's If you have other mods enabled it'll cause the issue, pretty much no other reason why. Each time you reload from a save while another mod is enabled things will spawn duplicates for each other mod enabled. It's written in the description to do so. There aren't going to be any further updates for this mod going forward so hopefully this helps.

@wmafranz No, that is not necessary, I should just have turn off other mods at most.
And during my play-through, I didn't have a single other mod enabled...
cum brain.

And for everyone else, just go play Cuser's merciless mod instead, because unlike this mod, merciless doesn't shɨt the bed.

So the makers of this mod think that duplicating enemies on top of each other, to the point where they get stuck in each other, is good mod-making. Stay away from this trash.

Played up through North Star hotel and had to uninstall. I play with grenades A LOT in this game and you sorta have to in this as the pistol is virtually useless (Can take 40 shots to kill a single combine soldier) for most enemies and shotgun ammo is pretty scarce.

The problem is that when you fight one of the suicide bomber nade enemies it arms every grenade in the area for seemingly no reason. Over and over again i'd have a nade in each hand, and one in each wrist pockets and all 4 would randomly arm often resulting in death. I'm not sure why this happens but i'm sorta amazed that even the nades stored in your wrist pockets will arm.

Yeah, balance is definitely an issue with that fight, I'm planning on redoing a majority of the addon in the future, but at the moment i'm working on other projects. Enemy health does scale between difficulty level though. The average soldier on hard has 80 hp, while on story they have 24.

I know it's meant to be hard, but the fight in front of the Northen Star needs serious rebalancing. You're supposed to go from cover to cover to not get surrounded but when you try to do that with this mod you die in under a second with full hp. Would be nice if enemies also scaled based on the difficulty level, which they might already do but I couldn't notice any different between Hard and Story.

@Turtle You can try it and see but this addon often has incompatibility issues with other addons. Try loading up a later chapter with numerous custom enemies to test and see if there are any issues.

Amazing mod, spikes the difficulty to what I believe the game should have came with. The haptics feel a little weaker when using a syringe health on my hands etc for some reason or maybe it's all in my head. I don't even need the gun upgrades, some of them I don't like so thank you mod dev for this regular resin/upgrade progression version. Cheers. :cozyspaceengineersc:

@nick this does not appear in the maps list since it relies on map extensions. You have to load up the main campaign with addons in order to play.

@Binge Eating λ Most of the changes I've made this update are script based so they should load in fine without restarting. Your old save should probably work. However, some previous updates have changed stuff in the maps so if you wanna be 100% safe you should probably restart from the beginning of the chapter. As to the bug with the poison headcrab and shotgunner, I don't think I've made any changes to them at all so I'll go and take a deeper look into it.

found a bug where in chapter 4 theres a friendly shotgunner on the main steps right before you walk to the surface and i do believe that the poison headcrab that bursts through the vent door doesn't actually appear. this is during the part where you have to precisely throw a grenade into the vent for a shield to open

Aight so I finished the game and only ran into one issue, which is that during the parking garage part of the strider fight, the music stopped early while there were still a few Combine Soldiers alive. Not a big issue by any means but just letting you know about it.

Hey, just finished playing through the rest of Chapter 6 and wanted to let you know everything is working as it should be, also, I really like how you added music to the second Combien fight. Anyways, I will make sure to comment again if I find any other issues while playing through the rest of the game.

Good news, I can now load into chapter six no problem, bad news, I'm getting a bug during the first combine fight of the chapter where when I kill one of the soldiers with a grenade, the combat music will end early, and turn into the intermission song while there are still soldiers alive (The one that plays inbetween the first and last part of the fight). Then, once I get to the second part of the fight where the suppressor and charger come out from behind the corner, the combat music will start up again but the intermission part will still be playing over it, and doesn't end once the whole fight is over, so it just keeps playing after all the combine soldiers are dead. This happened to me 2 times in a row, so idk if I'm just really unlucky or if it is a common occurrence. Sorry for the long-winded description, If I can replicate it again later I will record it.

a3_c17_processing_plant is the vanilla map for chapter 6. But it seems like no one else is having problems with it so I will try actually uninstalling all the other addons, instead of just disabling, and see if that helps...

and for the ultra hard mode idea from R1ON1X.. you could make another seperate version called combine units+ Ultra hard mode and also with the other ones like the "with resin" and "vanilla friendly" ultra hard mode. its all up to you bro!

if you play this on hard mode, the game becomes a real challenge in combat and makes it the way i really wanted in the first place! it requires you to really think everything through and to make sure you dont get bum rushed! the shotgunners are a great idea and require very precise aim between their armor plates!

lolol i did also find that shotgun bug when i played and i tried to tell you but optimum literally fucked NJ and NY when it comes down to wifi! they shut down all wifi service from the beginning of christmas eve to the end of christmas day! their forums are going bonkers!

maybe spawn some enemys to force us move around and take cover. because in the game alot of the time we can just sit in one spot and not have to move. making the player move from cover to cover would make the game harder.
