i love this car for one reason because my real name is maverick and seen that there is a lot of good looking ford mavericks out there that i would love to fix in this game there are some from 1970/1972/1975 ones
Imperius 28 Jan, 2024 @ 10:41pm

Nice job YT - in the UK we had the Capri, virtually identical but V6 or I4 - I have knocked up a couple of configs to sort this dilema...You are right iz a bit tricky to overcome steering rack thro oil pan - solution, raise and enlarge engine til the tranny comes thro firewall - perfect! PS did you manage to do a rust map - thats the only part missing for me ! - keep up the good work !

What year is the Maverick is this supposed to be based on? Love the model anyway, I have a 1972 Maverick, and was just curious of the differences.

I restarted Steam and reinstalled this mod which made it work again and nothing has been lost. :winter2019happybulb:

I'm having issues with this car, I purchased it from the junkyard and spruced it up. I left the game and came back the next day for it to show an error card where it states: " There are problem with following assets - Car_Ford_maverick " I try to uninstall this mod and install again but the game is persistent in updating and keeps un-scheduling itself. I will try to restart my PC and steam itself.

Great work. Been looking for one of these since I got the game( I have a 75 comet gt sitting in my garage ) If you're considering doing one I have many photos (too many, at least according to my wife lol)

@ythma I think he was asking if you could make one.
SLMF4Q2 28 Feb, 2021 @ 5:31pm
Engines sit too low in compartment, this is not realistic design. Body between doors and fenders are warped and look like crap.
I had this totally built from the ground up and ended up pulling all the new parts off and selling just the worthless body.

@phillydopey You can do whatever you want, I am not one to say otherwise. Although, if you have not done any kind of 3D modeling, you will find it harder to make a mod for the game.

do you mind if can make a opal named oliver

@grvdggr There are limitations with the game and sometimes you have to do the best you can. After reading your comment, I went to verify that the steering rack did in fact go through the oil pan, which it does. I then tried various combinations to fix it and there were none that worked with the double wishbone suspension. It was either the oil pan or the gearbox that the steering rack went through.
Hockey 17 Jan, 2021 @ 8:52am
The steering rack goes through the oil pan which is unacceptable in my opinion.

Of all the cars I have owned over the course of my life, my '71 is the only one I regret losing. My was the Grabber style without actually being one.
Fernie 13 Jan, 2021 @ 12:34pm
My grandfather had two Super Luxe, one '74 white and a '78 Metal blue (both V8, manual).

He selled his first one to his brother, he owned the car for years until he got an accident on a street race against a Ford Escort esportive i think, he repaired the car and selled.

I think the other one my grandfather selled to his cousin, that owned for years until sell to buy a '95-'96 Ford Mustang i think. Actually, my grandfather selled his car to buy a 4-Door Ford model when my uncle was born in 1980.

Now, Ford Mavericks are part of my love for cars, and a big wish!

I have owned 2, 1970 and a 1971. The '71 had very little rust except for the lower right rear quarter panel. I had the '71 from 1988 to 1990 when it got totaled in an accident, not my fault BTW.
Skywatcher68 30 Dec, 2020 @ 7:20pm
@ythma I was joking about the Maverick one of my sisters owned. Rust hole in the passenger door, big enough for a squirrel to get through. Which they occasionally did.
ythma  [author] 30 Dec, 2020 @ 6:59pm
@Skywatcher68 I think in order to have that, I would have to create a rustmap for the car. This basicly a livery for the rust (I think so, anyway).
Skywatcher68 30 Dec, 2020 @ 4:01pm
Do the doors get huge rust holes near the bottom? :-D

is it possible for someone to make the 2010 5gen camaro?
nevrqwit 26 Dec, 2020 @ 7:11pm
Hoping that a 1973 - 1978 Ford Mustang II will be available someday. The variants would be the standard coupe, the notchback (my first car), the Cobra II and the 1978 King Cobra. If this is being made I will be VERY interested in having all of the variations.

Fulysic, thank you for the heads up. Your contributions and greatly appreciated.

I have looked at the connection between the drive shaft and the rear axle. The issue is due to the scale of the parts and not something that I can fix as it is an issue with the game. The drive shaft is at a scale of 1.0, but the axles parameters do not include a scale. That is why the end of the drive shaft is larger then the connecting face of the axle.
nevrqwit 26 Dec, 2020 @ 2:26pm
I Google translated Martin JH's message from Czech to English:
"the drive shaft is badly connected to the rear axle"
ythma  [author] 26 Dec, 2020 @ 1:45pm
@Martin JH: Please use English as it is the only language I know. I cannot answer your question if I cannot understand it.
