regarding the sticks, I do not like sticks everywhere especially when trees are gone and sticks are still there.
It forces you to make flint axes early in the game to cut trees for sticks and stock pile logs for later.
Paleo was my favourite scenario and I have played it many times already.
Happy you liked it.
Food plentiful, animals average, raiders easy even on hardcore. The biggest challenge is the walking distance to most things. The map that had almost no sticks was too scary, lol. Overall a different challenge to most scenarios, 8/10
Your comment is unhelpful as you do not give any explanation.
If you did not like the scenario, it is your privilege and would recommend you try something else.
If you do have a point to make I would like to ear it.
did you forget to add parts of the game? i wonder.
I hope you are OK now, crashes sometime happen with no apparent reason.
I played this scenario many times with no problem at all.
I have had many issues with another scenario and just dropped it. A few days ago I decided to have another try and guess what, it runs perfectly.
Let me know if you have anymore issues.
Look at the fork of the river around the rocky outcrop, you will find some.
You will find that sticks and flint are scarce so cut trees for sticks and go easy on the available flint until you can mine it.
To find the sticks, take a 'stick work' area and increase size to max and go around the map to highlight them.
Good luck.
Should release in the next few days.
Thanks again for the feed back.
I am sorry to ear about the donkeys, there are lots of donkeys in Paleo water but not many
in Paleo meadow which forces you to unlock horses to pull your carts.
There is always the trader who sells donkeys.
I do not understand why you were stuck in Neolithic for so long.
Thanks for your review.
This slows your advance in the game as you need the milestone before upgrading.
You will have the same problem with huts and round houses.
Flint on the ground is scarce on purpose, you will found enough to start.
Get picks early to mine for flint.
if you are playing "rolling meadows" flint can be found all around the lakes.
to stop immigration, go to "paleo.scn.xml" and find towards the end:
<!-- Parameters -->
<action type="SetMigrationParameters" min="4" max="6" period="2y" variance="0.5y" decrease_start_population="150" decrease_halfing_population="125"/>
<action type="SetBirthParameters" decrease_start_population="500" decrease_halfing_population="350"/>
<action type="SetDiseaseParameters" period="1.2y" variance="0.25y" individual_disease_chance="0.55"/>
<action type="SetTraderPeriod" value="1.5y"/>
Change min="4" max="6" both to "0".
Beware that there are 2 of these settings in the file.
1 for paleo_meadow and 1 for paleo_water
Good luck!
Do you know how to make it so only population can grow by breeding only?
