I have to agree with Gantel & Alexandre — the cars (especially the Lotus) are way too fast.
Lotus is *always* winning (by a nearly 10sec margin), and the overall lap times (@ 100% AI skill) are 20sec faster than the historical times: https://i.imgur.com/zPvnoeB.jpg

I only race offline. The Lotus AI is so much faster than every other car it makes this mod useless. Every race the final results are:
1. Lotus
2. Lotus
3. Lotus
4. Lotus

At historic Spa the Lotus runs 8-9 seconds a lap faster than all the others! No real difference with Monza. Wish someone could find a solution to this.

Otherwise, the road physics and graphics of the mod are very nice.

Chef, I got your mod offline to do some changes on tires (player and AI), I managed to achieve times closer to what were real times back then. I would like to send the files to you, for better judgment, and if you find it good enough to integrate the official mod.

Since I think it is meant to be faithful to historic races I find some inconsistent results, like lapping Monaco at 1:19 (real pole was 1:27), and Monza at 1:22 (real pole was 1:28).
The real times are close to what I can do with the Eve car.
I don't think it is the power but the car's weight, and tire grip that makes that difference.
Just trying to be helpful here, because I did love your job.

@ChiefWiggum nice! I also noticed some inconsistency with real and virtual steering wheel when we change Wheel Range in the car's setup, if, for instance, we increase to a maximum of 720 (to reach 35 degrees), the virtual wheel moves slower than the real.

The problem is that the maximum fuel in some races like Nurburgring is for 11/12 laps while the race is 15 laps long. If you try to pit it doesn't pit and finish your race.

it's a wonderful work thanks a lot.

* I have finished the Nurburgring 1967 and I was using these cars to do the AIW then suddenly I detected the PIT FUEL STRATEGY was disabled in all modes (pratice, qualifying, race) I just wonder if that is something that have to do with the car, I tried other cars and it was working. If you have a clue how to fix it please let me know. Thanks.

Nice addition! Yes, FFB is weak, and I think suspension in general is too much stiff, what harms the sense of the car's weight.

Very nice and good looking cars. The Force feedback (Kraft die zum lenken benötigt wird) is compared to the 1966 Brabham BT 20 still very weak.

The side mirrors and the virtual mirror of all 4 cars are pointed to the sky. You can't see what's behind you.
Can that be fixed please?

The axel of pitch angle adjust is out of the usual place and makes a big impact in seat high adjustment. The front tires have some sort of egg form in it making them not quite round.

Sure an improvement, but the FFB could yet be heavier. I would consider a physics a little bit closer to what we have in EVE 68, something with more grip in front and less grip in the rear tires not exaggerate though, also more power to get 300km/h at Brianza. Thanks for the big effort.

I hope someone is working on the 1955 and 1965 mod. I am really old. They were great on Grand Prix Legends. That was my first game I bought a wheel for (MOMO maybe?).Back when Dinosaurs roamed the earth and Voodoo Graphics cards were new.

Early days I'm sure JamesB. I tried a race at 1966 Spa and there were AI crashes everywhere. Masta Kink was a pile of cars, hay bales, and nose cones everywhere lol. Here's looking forward to this getting to the finish line nicely polished (Hint hint Chief ;)). The cars are fun to drive so you're off to a great start!

Hi, LOVE the cars but having a problem, can you help? I am trying to set them up for a race on the 66 Monaco circuit but the AI CANNOT do a lap of it, they cant even get out of the paddock area to get onto the circuit most of the time. They also crash going up Beau Rivage and end up pointing at the barriers unable to get themselves pointed straight again untill they end up quiting back to the paddock which they then cant get out of again! And i have not seen ANY of them get round the first part of the chicane after the tunnel. They also almost invariably spin at Tabac. I have AI learning set to on and set up a practice session of 8 hours and left it running to see if they would learn the cct but when I cam back to it only 4 of them had managed a timed lap and those times were so long that they must have had multiple crashes. As I say, i LOVE the models, is this something I can fix or is it unrelated to the mod? The Brabham BT20 goes round it fine. Hope someone can help.

Really hope you keep going, adding more cars and polishing graphics. Kinda bummed that F1 Racing Legends isn't getting more updates but that one is still my go-to for 1967 since it has the full field (albeit with fictional names). I see the Honda in the pics so more cars coming? Do you have a blog page for this? Would love to follow dev.
