Is there an option here that lets you give primogeniture to your vassals? My main problem with Feudal Vassals is that their land will splinter through succession.

Yes, a decision allows you to suspend the leasing of temple for a couple of months, in that time, you can grant a temple (or multiple) to a character and then the county afterwards (barony level theocracies will get removed when the lease resumes)

Things are going slow and steady, been working on it for quite the number of hours each day, though I am not very fast, due to having to learn as I go, but got some of the hardest stuff out of the way.
Once theocrazy localisation for taxes/levies have been perfected, I will move on to republics and clans, which should be rather fast, as I now have a template.
Which only leave gamerules left after that, which I hope are easy to do, never done them before.
Also a merger with an unreleased mod of mine, which allows you to temporarily suspend your leasing of temples to your realm priest (Which allows you to easily create new theocratic vassals, if that is your thing, otherwise pretty useless) (This mod also needs a gamerule, and a few tweaks, should be quick though.)

Been spending most of my time on some background stuff and organisation, which among other benefits, means the mod is a lot more compatible with other mods now :)

Got any update on if/when you plan to release your updated version @kongleknuser ? I have a large scale MP planned to start on the 18th of June and I was hoping to expand of the vassal contracts as several of the players intend to play as vassals.

Yeah, AI implementation is always a pain it seems, especially if one also incorporates traits and personalities. It will likely take a long, long while before they get implemented in any deeper capacity in quote on quote "my version". I wanna make a bigger mod that likely incorporates this one as well, with laws and stuff.
Anyhow, the updated version I have will be delayed due to
1) The exams took more out of me than expected
2) Have a few practical things to take care of as well
3) Street Fighter 6 just came out and is stealing my time.

@knogleknuser i had a few plans before dropping it, but one of my prorities was to improve the AI because at the moment it only improves or decreases contract based on a fixes scale (1,2,3,4). So, vassal AI will always prefer last special contract over the 3rd, and the 3rd over the 2nd, etc. And liege AI the other way around. No intelligent negotiation, it maybe favours more to have a borderland march, AI would have to detect that vassal primary duchy is bordering another realm maybe. The only dynamic changes are the levy/tax ones that actually changes if the character needs more levies or taxes. Anyways, just thinking what I remember about on this project.

Glad to hear it, your work is a big gift.
As I said, got an exam and stuff, so will continue working on it 1st of June.

I wanna make each tax/levy obligation unique before uploading it. (So far, made the theocrazy tax/levy increase or decrease the amount you get pr. Level of devotion.)

And do a quick balance overview.
Both of my changes(fx: ya can change tax and levies of baronies now.), and compare the contract stuff to new vanilla values.
In addition to a bit of playtesting.

You and others are welcome to give feedback once it has been uploaded :)
I will post a link here, once it is on steam.
Probably will happen between 1st of june and 5th of june

Have a bunch of other improvements, changes and updates i wanna do, but those can wait until the mod has been uploaded.

@Nostos could you allow this for Clan governments as well? I understand that clans are all about family and such, but of course such governments had detailed arrangements of what you have to supply, your rights, services and much more.

I would very much like to be able to join one of my vassals as he fights against a rebellion of his vassal, as long as the rebelling vassal is in my de jure title.

For example as the King of Wallachia in a 1350 start, I gave all three of my sons a duchy and two counties to go with it each, but they have been in a nonstop war against the other counties in their duchies and are struggling and I want to join them or send troops or something, but all I'm able to do is gift them money.

If doing so incurs tyranny so be it, but I don't think any king would sit by and watch his sons and dukes lose counties to liberty wars or overthrow attempts.

If you could add a mechanic for that that would be awesome.

Couple issues, one is I cant seem to manually change the modifiers. Like council rights guaranteed gives the liege -25 opinion with other vassals, which basically makes all the vassals hate the liege. I tried changing it to -5 in the fuedal.txt file but it wont change in game. What else do I need to change? Secondly, it seems with manor estates contract everyones men at arms is limited to 1 regiment.

I'm having compatibility problems too but couldn't find out the cause on my own diagnosis. Would like to know what could have overridden the changes made by the mod.

Is this compatible with more bookmarks or would there need to be a compatibility patch?

Reason I ask is because when I enable this I see no change to the contracts GUI or any other options but the flexible holding buttons is displayed so something is working and something is broken. I have this low in the load order btw.

Why is it that coinage right gives a realm-wise boost of 5% to gold production per month? I can literally spam vassals with this contract with each of them giving me an additional 5% regardless of the vassal's own realm size. It's super OP.

For feedback purposes, the core features of this mod still works with 1.3, where you could still sign royal scutage/march/palatinate contracts with the modded functions with your feudal vassals. All the special contracts are gone though, as well as all the contract options for republics/theocracies.
