Great mod, but it should have more policies and have a greater effect on the nation.

I'm not a modder, but some ideas I had were

High frequency trading
You can ban, regulate, or legalize it to have a greater effect on the stockmarket and therefor the GDP. It'd please the wealthy and capitalists but upset middle income and socialists.

You could also have other policies like investment firm subsidization and financial industry deregulation for similar effects

Hello,

today I released the update for the 'National Stock Market' Version 0.6b.
This update includes many new features to simulate more a realistic stock market indicator for the game.

Some of your suggestion I have implementated in this update, for example the inertia of some causes for the stock market and some new effects and influences.

Please have a look above in the changelog of this modification.

Thank you very much for your comments and ideas to optimize this mod.
I am looking forward to your feedback.

I Would Think a bad stock market would make everyone pissed off less so then the capitilists but still pissed off...

Also add more effects. In my opinion, a strong stock market increases currency strength, not vice versa. A strong stock market means more foreign investors buy shares in your companies, increasing the demand for your currency and therefore also the value.

I also think you made a little mistake on the oil price:
OilPrice,-0.20+(-0.20*x)
I assume it should be:
OilPrice,-0.20+(0.20*x)

I like the idea, but your numbers are a little weird. You should lower the effect from basically everything. International trade for example. With 0 international trade the stock market is reduced by -0.3, and if you have maxed out international trade you get +0.7. I also prefer exponential factors when it comes to economy, but that's entirely up to you.

When I start a game the stock market is at the bottom. The market cap of the national stock market would never be 0.

I suggest adding inertia. It takes time before people start investing in shares. If your country's GDP suddenly increases, the stock market doesn't immediately boom to the sky.

Add more factors. Why doesn't capital gains tax change the stock market value? Percentage of wealthy group could also make a difference. And maybe unemployment?

You should include a captital gains tax that directly feeds off this the stock market's performance.
