1.19 is pretty close lol, but would you be able to add 1.2 or 6:5? For making reference images for 96:80 pixel art :P idk what mediums this ratio is used in otherwise tbh

Material overlays show up if you render a video or image sequence, but not if you render a poster. If you're trying to make a poster with the overlay, you'll need to bullshit it. Just render a 1-frame-long image sequence instead.

so if I am feeling lazy how do I render it with the overlay

All of the aspect masks are in the materials\scph\aspect_masks\ directory. If you need help on actually using material overlays like these, this tutorial has what you need to get started.

Vertical Aspect ratios would drastically reduce the size of resultant videos, and a simpler solution would be to simply rotate the recording camera by 90° and then rotate the resultant video sideways in another program.

This might be a cursed question, but would it be possible to add vertical aspect ratios for the rare circumstances people want to replicate vertical videos taken from phones?
R3DREVO 7 Jan, 2021 @ 3:20pm
ratio'd by 5:3

Yes! Check the table, it's the 1.3:1 mask.

Do you have a 4:3 mask?
Sky-fi 5 Jan, 2021 @ 5:10am

IVW115 4 Jan, 2021 @ 7:19am
This is all very good!
But where is the aspect ratio in the pictures?
The name in the pictures would be quite helpful.
Konxovar 4 Jan, 2021 @ 6:03am
The fact that you took the time to write down descriptions for every one of these is amazing on its own.
bass pro shop 3 Jan, 2021 @ 7:40pm
very nice, the last bars i had to use had this weird bug where there was a thin white line bordering one of them, glad i can fix it with these
SnowDrift 3 Jan, 2021 @ 3:18pm
I was actually trying to find a much thinner cinemascope, and you have come along and provided these options. Many thanks!
McNamer 3 Jan, 2021 @ 11:48am
This is very helpful! Thank you!

Ooooor just edit it after rendering like a normal person and not lose any pixels
This is the equivalent of a photographer putting strips of black paper on his camera lens instead of just cropping and editing it after.
