Interestingly, if you try this with singleplayer, it gives you a Medical Doctor to start out with your Captain and Mechanic instead of an Engineer.

I doubt that there would be mod for forcing one of each class. But it can be done easily, we can discuss it privately.

Not sure were else to ask for this, is there a mod that attempts to force 1 of each class or a way i can customize this one to do that? I've been testing a pvp ship that was based around the idea 6v6 one of each class but game have awkward problems with class stacking.

It turned out, it was an issue from the original gameplay. :evilfy:
In their latest hotfix they declared:

"We have just released a patch to fix issues in the latest update. Notably, character resetting between multiplayer campaign rounds and issues with job assignment have been addressed."

As it is in the description, I removed the auto team balance from the roles.
The mod does exactly what it needs to. However, sometimes there is circumstance, when you are selecting a role, (usually at the very beginning of the Campaign/New Campaign) and one or two players are getting different roles instead of the desired one. We met with this phenomenon few times, but we were able to solve this issue by creating a new character while we are in-game on the submarine. (Tab/Human figure icon/Select the role that you want again/Create new) [This will go live when you start a mission or docking into an outpost]
Unfortunately, I have no power beyond that, there is nothing that I could tweak in this mod regarding the random role selection. As I mentioned, the chances are low, but if you would get it, the solution is above. :steamthis: Hope it helps for everyone! :captainsmooth:

Hi Mason, I was hosting the game with Geronimo where we had issues. No Role Balance and submarines by Fox (The full line, R0-Q Rorqual Heavy Freighter was in use at the time) were the only mods present. Geronimo was unable to join. Geronimo verified files and preloaded No Role Balance before trying to rejoin. I reformed the server without No Role Balance and they were able to join. We also had instances of players not getting their picked class even after I advised everyone to leave secondary roles blank. Any idea why this might have happened? Can you make some suggestions that might help us getting the mod working for us? I hope this is helpful.

we are running just this mod in a playthrough. so far it seems to not always work or at times prevents people from joining the session.

When latest Barotrauma update kicked in, we started a Vanilla campaign while using this mod & it works perfectly.
(The update did not affect this mod)
