Of course, it won't look much like your version of the submarine anymore (especially because of the decoration of the environment and the rearrangement of objects), but can I publish a mod with our changes? Hello!
I've known this boat since I first started playing this game. I really, really like this submarine and my friends and I have a lot of good things about it! I know its pros and cons. And my friends and I made our own type based on your submarine.
She has a lot of new things on her ship: automatic doors and water sensors to lock them, a built-in small capsule, automatic docking, 3 different types of weapons, stronger armor, automation against balanced flora (dedicated undermining of pumps at any moment, which is not surprising), updated furnishings and more boxes for things. There's a lot more there, I can't list it all.

You are right! Leftmost coilgun loader was set to "non interactable" by mistake. It's now fixed.
Sorry for not bugtesting properly. Too focused on the A44 ATM. Thanks for pointing out the error!

Very nice smaller sub, my friends and I have had a fun time so far in it, we have run into an issue what we cannot seem to interact with the left most coil gun loader although that might be something on our end as i have not seen anyone mentioning it,

BTW part of me wants to make some radical changes, like a door between Command and the armory, moving the o2 generator to the back, to make space for a unit loader, or hiding all wires inside the walls... but I don't think it's right changing that much on an already published and popular submarine, so I'll probably focus on making more submarines instead

Its edited and uploaded. I took the freedom to call it the B-Variant of the A40, designated 'Ramos' which just has a few QoL upgrades and is a Deep Diver. If you'd like, you can even add onto it with the lore, that your Engineers started experimenting on improved hulls on the A40, called it the A40-B and then resumed on that project you mentioned ^^

Hello again! I wanted to ask if you are okay with me editing your submarine. I am playing this sub with my friends, and they absolutely love it. We took down two Endworms with ease... but since its not a deep diver, it hits its limit around the fourth area of the game... it ends around 5600 Meters. But we would love to keep the sub! So instead of downgrading to something like a remora, i wanted to simply reupload it as a Deep diver sub, which raises its limits. You're gonna be fully credited and ill put disclaimers that its not my work.

Honestly? One of the best Subs out there. There is nothing this thing doesnt have. Everything is nicely sorted and labeled, and there is enough storage space to feed an 8-man crew for two weeks minimum. Maneuverability is perfect, its not too fast, not too slow, and the tiny flaws the power grid has can be easily corrected with some upgrades.
So far ive only seen two miniscule issues.. one of them being a typo in the Armory, and the other that the AI tends to shoot the glass of the top airlock with the top right gun... though i dont know if that can be corrected.

It's one of the buttons in the Navigation Terminal, it's only really useful for deploying decoys. and I've never even used it once, i think...

I found the cause of the AI not fixing the pump in the lower airlock!

There's no waypoint off the ladder in the lower airlock. They don't let go of the ladder and cannot use items. So, they go to the nearest point where they can use items which is bonking their head on the wall in Ballast B.

I fixed this by adding a waypoint connected to the ladder in the airlock. The automatic waypoint generator will do this too but may cause more issues in other places.

Thanks for the feedback! maybe I'll try to tweak the waypoints sometime. Bots often have a hard time with tight spaces.
Happy to hear that people actually enjoy playing with my submarine, and not just randomly download it.

I discovered if the pump in the lower airlock is broken, bots do not navigate to it correctly while trying to fix it- and try to fix it by plowing their head into the right wall while standing in the ballast tank, next to the lower airlock.

This is the only issue I've found with this submarine in extensive playing. Still my favorite boat.

Just a well made submarine. I wish bigger submarines had bot navigation meshes that were as nice- but it's probably easy considering the small size of this boat.

The placement of that railgun is perhaps the best part. A great view and a frontal mount is good for absolutely slaughtering molochs that you saw coming on your sonar

I solved the issue with the oxygen by adding another vent, now there can be 3 people in the cell at the same time

1: I have tried to recreate the oxygen bug in the cell. even with two bots in there, oxygen stays at 100% for me. (fun fact: there are actually 2 vents in the cell, the other one being hidden.)

2: There are no tool belts on the ship. The "Owned" number in the shop includes tool belts equipped by crew, can that be the explanation?

Played a crew of 6 people, and noticed a problem with oxygen, especially in the cell, even if you put one person in there after a minute he begins to suffocate.

The bug with the fabricator window seems to be an issue with the game. Hopefully there will be a fix in the next patch. In my experience, the windows fix themselves back to normal after a short while.

love the sub although there seems to be an issue with the fabricators and the storage cabinets they are attached to. after accessing the fabricator the panel for the storage cabinet overlaps the fabricator panel blocking the part that tells me what I am trying to make. is there a fix for this or something?

The crew and I have been using this sub for about 3 weeks now. As a crew of 5, we absolutely love it. Just getting into the sub editor myself this sub is an inspiration while at the same time completely discouraging. Everytime I think I'm getting somewhere I reference this sub and it's already doing what I want to make. I mean that in the most positive way I can, really a work of art.

pro tip about water-reactive chemicals for those who don't already know: put them in the red chemical crates, they are water proof! With the open ballast keelson, nowhere else is really safe.

This submarine is awesome. Adequate space and amazing turret coverage being able to fire 2 coilguns at any direction. The quality of life features like the item toilet, railgun safety, and a mineral scanning sonar in the gunnery makes it the most enjoyable small/medium sized sub I have played in. The only downfalls I have found with it is that the deconstructor/fabricator are too close to the central ladder that leads up to the airlock, which frequently results in Na or K explosions in the deconstructor from water leaking down from upper submarine compartments. And it doesnt have an armory door, so usually have to put all the boomies in the safes.
Still best sub in my opinion, the benefits greatly outweigh the downfalls.

This submarine is inherently better than the games generic subs, for the simple reason that the the generics have around 25-50% gun coverage at best. My Vanilla has maybe 80-90% coverage, very few "dead zones". Personally, i prefer to crank up the difficulty level, rather than getting a challenge out of an inability to defend parts of the sub.

Feel free to post your own translation or edit of Vanilla, but please credit the original.
