For mp, definetly. In SP however fast forward changes nothing. The purpose was to spend less of your characters day on reading, not just speed reading for you.
SP:
Options -> Accessibility -> Enable "Resume normal speed when timed actions complete" -> Fast forward while reading
MP:
Manage Settings... -> Edit Selected Settings -> Other -> Adjust "MinutesPerPage" (default is 1, therefore 2x = 0.5; 4x = 0.25; 8x = 0.125) -> Hit "Save"
Thank you, I got it.
Activate only the one you want. If you already have a game going, you can adjust your active mods on the load screen. ie: Turn 4x on and deactivate 8x.
at least not if you're doing it right and are aware of your surroundings
try sitting still to see how long it really is
I added some comments (see the same url). I hope it will help you to understand better what's going on there. :)
Please consider using this code [pastebin.com] instead of yours.
I'll try to find out why
Beyond reading speed, this function has skill multiplier from when you finish books and some behaviour while reading, force stop, calories and if hand wounds will have an influence (they don't). If a mod doesn't try to change those it will be fine.
