can you make a mod that just changes sub merchants to sell all subs? this seems to be the only mod that does that but i dont want the extra stuff that comes with it, they would not work will with mods i have installed already, thank you!

Oh, I would never try to bring back the old bte. I will probably do what I did last time. See what I could add and add it. One thing at a time. Trying to bring back outdated stuff into new code is a nightmare, too.

Chiko and the team, I ahve massive respects as BTE was the OG and a major inspiration to all baro mods, from EK to Mechtrauma and Hungry Europeans, but I think it's time to start with a new coat of paint, this is beating a dead horse trying to make this mod function with all the changes this game had over the years.

Not saying that there can never ever be another Barotrauma Extended but perhaps it would be a good idea to start from scratch with a clear view, taking in the current mod enviroment and seeing what is needed and what isn't and perhaps splitting BTE to smaller mods that make up a new version of BTE.

BTE is cursed though, any-time it gets touched an update comes out and breaks it. Any recreation of it gets abandoned and any legacy server with it up magically vanishes

if you guys want to get the github version to work, go to character editor and create a new creature and make sure you make a new content pack. Make sure to save the creature, go out of Barotrauma. Your new content pack should turn into a mod in your mods folder, then put everything from the BTE github version inside that new mod you made and then your done!

Same here I am not subscribed to the workshop version but game still auto deletes BTE when I open the game.

Even when i uninstalled the damn mod it still auto deletes it. why?

you must unsub from the workshop version or it will do that because of a file mismatch.

when i download the github version and put it in my mods list game auto deletes it.

the tools used to update the mod in game are busted and doing so would require a reupload of the entire workshop item. When the tools in game get fixed we will gladly update the workshop version.

why can't you update the mod on the workshop?
