will need to update. It'll still work for everything but the new mechinator gear till then
St0mpa 25 Oct, 2022 @ 11:17am
any plans on updating this for 1.4/biotech?

There shouldn't be any compat issues 1.2 to 1.3

Need to look more for updating patching if I get around to it. IIRC, I don't patch heat for phoenix armor because it already has a custom value.

I love this mod. Covers a serious flaw in vanilla design: spacer level tech without thermal protection. It doesn't make sense.

There are tons of other great power armor mods out there, but they all share the vanilla shortcoming.

Can you expand this to support ALL generic power armor (basically just look for anything with "armor" and "power"/"marine"/"cataphract" in the xml /labels/description and add some flat rate like 50 degC to the heat/cold insulation values)? The "Universal Armor Patcher - Hands and Feet" does something similar.

There is a similar mod called "warmer power armor" which doesn't support the royalty ones

too bad i dont have royalty

The problem in space is heat transfer. Space as a whole is "cold", however due to being a vacuum, there's nowhere for heat to go

offtopic, but space is not cold. one of the biggest problems in space is to get rid of heat.

Only vanilla and royalty armours. Feel free to modify, the patching is quite straightforward

Does this effect the armors from Vanilla Expanded?

@Soulbite
Should not conflict with SoS2, to make an armour wearable in SoS2's space biomes they use a tag not vanilla values like insulation.
Patches to armours making them SoS compatible might change the insulation value as well though, so the later loaded mod wins, but it shouldn't be of harm in terms of functional gameplay. If you want to be sure this one gets loaded, load it after other armour patches.

This mod uses xpath patching to add the thermal insulation stats to all the armour. If part of the patch involves doing the same (since space is cold), then yes

Would this conflict with mods that affect power armours making them EVA compatible for SOS2?

Awesome! I think I had something similar to this in an older version, but this one looks much better.
