Another cool mechanism - nice stuff! I could very much see this style of move integrated into a larger puzzle.

The end was unexpected.

that was fun!

thankyou for the explanation of the funel polarity :)
I know how that feels.
my previous pc died on me also.
but even though I had not backed up recent portal 2 maps.
I was able to access & copy them to my new pc, using a docking station.
it was as easy as accessing an external hard drive :)
well place the drive from your dead pc into the docking station & connect the docking station to the new pc & that is what it is.(as long as no malware on hard drive)
look forward to your feedback on mine.
(I try to push the basic editor, so you should find something unusual or new on most.
not to all peoples taste. but a lot of people find something they have not seen before.
of course their are puzzles)

Thanks for playing
@mood3rd, this version is hammer tweaked so there was no need for a mechanism. (In the prototype I believe I used 2 lasers, 1 relay, 1 catcher, and a redirection cube :) . My gaming laptop is dead at the moment but I'll be sure to check out your workshop again when I have the means to play.

ps. would the hidden mechanism involve 2 lasers, 1 relay & a angled panel ?
mood3rd 13 Sep, 2015 @ 1:46pm
good map
at the start I was confused.
then quickly did it.
then still confused by funel polarity staying in the changed state, while cube is not breaking either laser.
I presume you have a hidden mechanism.
I like the infinite amount of time, to exit. (when using the correct solution)
I was worried that I would have to be ninja fast. but no worries :)
the lack of items makes the solution a lot easier to quickly find. (user friendly)

That was a good map. Really love the mechanic, great idea! If i had to say anything, it was that it was too short. Next time add a little more, and maybee include a mechanic similar, but not quite the same. That can usually throw people off.

Hmm, I saw this one on power blasts thread, I'll give it a whirl, but beware my scrutiny. :p Also, I made a thread to post maps you want me to play on (I just realized what that meant so i did it), so if you need a playtester for anything (don't forget to read it) let me know. I encourage hammer usage though, however your maps are, I just love to see ppl reach the full mapmaking potential, so if i seem like im grinding on anyone to use hammer, just remember it's for their benifit more than mine (although that's not saying I don't benifit at all :p)

It's a lot like an idea I had a year ago that I just haven't gotten around to building. I'll let you know when I get around to finishing it.

Overall:
Great Map! I used 15 minutes to complete this test :/ The laser beams match up with each other perfectly. Just right for me.

Improvements:
You should let the bridges deactivate more time (E.g. 5 seconds) in order to cross the room easily. Anyway it's a good chamber!

It can be tough to work out, if you havn't seen it before. I made a tutorial, the link is on your profile:)

I don't understand how you did the switching on the funnel. What makes the funnel stay in one state until switched again? Maybe I need some additional education?

Sweet concept. I saw what needed to be done but didn't think it would work. When I saw it working I was smiling all the way to the exit. Good work and a good looking chamber too.
How about trying my One Bridge when you find time. Thanks a lot.

Good map! Initially I thought it was the player who had to do the work with the funnel, but it's a kind of automatic. Nice timing to get in/out the funnel. Great design!

@Requiemsoul This map may help you solve my laserfunnels test, its a similar concept:)

Wow Superb concept! Very interesting.

Glad you liked it, I admit I find this one quite satisfying too, was pleased with the way it turned out. Thanks for playing:)

I had a lot of fun with this map. It's very elegantly simple and the solution feels satisfying to excecute.
