Hold tight, will work some magic.
Do I smell another slingshot channel fan here?
In both the vanilla game and LWOTC, only the actual Psi Operative class can equip the Psi PCSs. However, in LWOTC, the Templar can also use their Psi Offense for an ability of theirs that can make Volt panic targets (the chance is based off of their own Psi Offense stat vs target Will). There is of course also the Sectoids in Playable Aliens that can also benefit from it. Those are just two examples of ways that soldiers OTHER than the Psi Operative could make use of a Psi PCS, and why I set this mod up to allow the existence of a Psi PCS that can be equipped by any class within the LWOTC setting.
This mod is also a bit of advance preparation, leading up to a future update in Mod Jam. I plan to add compatibility with Psionics Overhaul V3, at which point any human soldier class will have the chance of becoming Psionic. That's when the REAL party starts.
Sorry If I somehow missed that part. All I saw is "the main purpose is to allow soldiers other than the Psi Operative class to use them." so I suppose only LWOTC class are affected to that and other added classes won't learn psi, so I wouldn't mind if you could explain how it really work.
