This doesn't appear to be working quite right at the moment. Started a campaign with it and the vanilla neurowhip was still there (albeit with the new icon) - no amp booster in sight - and I got a psi PCS that appeared to do nothing when installed.

Thanks for the mod and for all the LWotC class mods in particular. Have you considered doing an entire Psionic class for LWotC? Maybe something like Rusty's Psionic for LWotC would be really cool.

@xf100t The bonuses don't show up in the Armory, but they DO work in tactical. This is just the way they had to be written to be able to work on classes other than Psi Operatives (you can thank Firaxis for that one).

Am I missing something? The PCS's I have for psi, when they show up, don't actually do anything. They don't have a descriptor (like PSI +5) or anything, and when I add them to my psi soldiers, they don't do anything. I know these items used to work in WOTC, but I've never seen it work in LWOTC.

@headdy Update is up, this problem should now be permanently taken out behind the shed.

@headdy It's not. Christ this mod is so cursed. This makes me just want to use Template Master to change the name/look of the classic LWOTC Neurowhip to that of the Amp Booster. The only downside this would have is that there would be two item template names with "Neurowhip" in them but I no longer care about that.

Hold tight, will work some magic.

So is the nuerowip supposed to be available from the start?

@Judgement, The High Prosecutor: Are you familiar with how to acquire Long War of the Chosen's original Neurowhip?

@WaldoTheRanger Although I don't watch Slingshot Guy as often as I'd like to, I think he's really cool, has a lot of charisma and I enjoy his laugh.

"let me show you it's features"...
Do I smell another slingshot channel fan here?

Oh I understand now, thanks.

@Deathraven13 This mod doesn't change the LWOTC Psi Operative at all.

In both the vanilla game and LWOTC, only the actual Psi Operative class can equip the Psi PCSs. However, in LWOTC, the Templar can also use their Psi Offense for an ability of theirs that can make Volt panic targets (the chance is based off of their own Psi Offense stat vs target Will). There is of course also the Sectoids in Playable Aliens that can also benefit from it. Those are just two examples of ways that soldiers OTHER than the Psi Operative could make use of a Psi PCS, and why I set this mod up to allow the existence of a Psi PCS that can be equipped by any class within the LWOTC setting.

This mod is also a bit of advance preparation, leading up to a future update in Mod Jam. I plan to add compatibility with Psionics Overhaul V3, at which point any human soldier class will have the chance of becoming Psionic. That's when the REAL party starts.

Well I've read everything that was written and hum........what does this mod do aside changing Vanilla LWOTC psi class + some items ? Like how does it work as in does any soldier can learn psi wich also include the templar ? You get to send any soldier to train psi abilities ?
Sorry If I somehow missed that part. All I saw is "the main purpose is to allow soldiers other than the Psi Operative class to use them." so I suppose only LWOTC class are affected to that and other added classes won't learn psi, so I wouldn't mind if you could explain how it really work.
