Report a translation problem
If it doesn't work for you, please, locate the server and client log with the technique written below in the earlier answer and send them to me on Discord to Sümi#3084.
i think there is no log beside that notification in game bc the game dont crash.
"Dedictated server failed to start there was some sort of trouble starting the server. Please try again."
I wrote about mod crash clean-up in my character tutorial. I paste the part about that here, so you can check yourself about the problem:
"Good thing the game can practically tell you what went wrong. If you experience any of the previous problems, head into Computer/Documents/Klei/DoNotStarveTogether and check the client_log file. It should note every single step you made since you launched the game. Scroll down until you can find your buggy part.
If you can’t find the bug report there, head deeper into Computer/Documents/Klei/DoNotStarveTogether/169275625, sort the folders here by date, open the newest, go into Master and open server_log. Act the same, scroll down until you find the buggy part. Try to debug the part that’s messy."
Still, if it doesn't seem to work for you, send the files mentioned above to me.
the ones that work are amazing
If it's still problematic, check or send me the client and server log after the crash to sort out the root of the crash.
i think this not working anymore (i guess)
the server does not open with this specific one
ty
I sent a new one.
Thank you for being so kind as to help a fellow modder <3
- Health Drain and Lamp Heal configurables added
- Wish Energy stack size extented to 20 (from 10) - I have no current plans to extend the other wishes
- More configurable options added to some previous ones
2. I'm not sure how should I code this to make it work. I'll look around.
3. Yep, that's a bit ugly at the moment. I'll search around about this aswell.
I'll try to add these as soon as possible, but I'm a little busy right now.
Stay tuned!
1. It would be nice if there was a way to reduce the health drain for people not used to switching items. I'm good with it but would be very helpful for new players or just people not used to it
2. When you start the game you the lamp drain starts as the loading animation comes in and it would be nice if you had a bit of breathing room before you had to equip the lamp
3. When you attack with the lamp it counts as a punch and makes your hand invisible and i'd be nice if the lamp was a weapon with a proper animation like the walking cane
The last two are nit picks. The mod is perfectly fine without the last two fixes
About the carpet buff:I disagree. When cobble stone gives a better speed boost and is better in the mid to end game the flavor is lost to me. I thought giving carpet a sanity aura added flavor because it helped williams deal with the pacifist perk and we have characters that have stuff that help with their weakness but not out right neutralize it(Walter with the tent roll and wormwood with compost wrap). I just don't think carpet is works as intended when in theory it's better to use cobble stone for the same effect.
These changes are easy to implement.
1. I'll make the wish stack size configurable.
2. I'll reduce the recipe cost as well. I admit, there's no real reason to keep it so high.
About the carpet sanity: Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the idea. It would neutralize the pacifist perk for combat scenarios. The carpet perk was mainly for the flavour, but it's a great strategy tool for faster supporting during raid bosses.
1. Change the max stack of wishes from 10 to 20-30
2. Make the crafting recipe for the lamp reasonable so that you can put a spare lamp near an area you plan on reviving in and don't die scurrying to where you died
Also i think it would be better if standing on carpets gave a sanity aura; I don't think anyone has a reason make carpets with this character unless they just like carpets but you do you
Oh and i was going to post this near the beginning of february but i forgot to....
First, I would like to make my previous characters as polished as Williams.
Oh and i have an idea for a new feature. A reduced loss of sanity from magic staves.
