this version still works, and doesn't have the weird bugs that the other 1.3 upload has (certain VE weapons not working anymore like the charge shotgun)

@Highlandman for your inquiry, this excellent modification to Rimworld does seem to be in working order on my brief look into it. The beast will shoot out an error when you first initiate the game but, alas it is a false warning. At this time I believe you can take no notice of this "error". Many thanks for your concern and I hope that the caretaker of this great modification will take the time to see if my findings are true.

(How you wrote you ask for 1.3 for some reason made me see you as a posh English gentleman and i felt like responding in a similar way.)

This mod was the cause of a CTD on startup for Rimworld 1.2.3005 since the July 22 mod update caused by
2359025638\Patches\RimEffect\N7.xml
In some part.

Might be a conflict with another mod. A lot of people still on 1.2 were getting all kinds of weird errors from different mods that had upgraded to 1.3. Thank you for reverting for now though!

More details, this causes huge red errors to spam the logs on loading to the main menu, prevents many GUIs from loading such as the options and new colony screens, disables the mod list as if crashed, and breaks a lot of text such as Mod Manager's labels on the mods screen.

Haven't tried loading into a save with this bug in effect. Too scared.

Okay uh there's a *severe* bug caused by this mod. I've narrowed it down to this mod alone by listing all mods updated today and disabling half of them at a time. It disables all mods, breaks the HUD entirely, and breaks HugsLib log uploader so I'm using OneDrive.

I think i made a sorta fix, i don't know how to write in C# but I've made an edit, where it only rounds up and that does less damage. I don't understand it but it seems trying to edit one damage rounding does all 4.

Okay so the full damage buckshot seems to only be an issue when set to random (for the rounding in mod setting which is default). Setting it to always round up solved the problem for me.

the incompability with yayo's combat 3(ammo system) is only with the ammo counter falling too fast/too slow or is it some other thing?

It should be noted that Vanilla Weapons Expanded has integrated patches for this particular mod, I checked. Perhaps the patch for VWE in this mod is conflicting with the integrated patch? The other Vanilla Expanded mods (Laser, Settler) don't have integrated patches for this, however.

Unfortunately it seems my earlier fix wasn't doing anything except maybe a temporary stopgap at best.

I looked a bit closer at this, and atleast for my game I believe I might have found the problem. If you are getting this issue and are also using Rocketman for the stat caching, I believe it is likely that which is either setting the bullet's damage back to the cached base damage on the gun, or interrupting the patch reducing the damage of each bullet. If you just go into the settings for Rocketman and reduce the "RangedWeapon_DamageMultiplier" to 0 Ticks (or possibly turn off gear stat caching?), I believe that might fix the issue - but i'll be watching more as things evolve on my save here. Hopefully this helps!

I just had my own run-in with that double barrel shotgun managing to take out everyone because of how strong it is, dealing 18 damage a pellet. I already have Proper Shotguns near the bottom of my list, and its after every weapon mod I have loaded. Could it be some sort of mod conflict?

I think I might have found out what's causing the damage bloat, although I'm not 100% sure. Just make sure to load Proper Shotguns after any gun mod that it modifies.

This is really weird. When I test shotguns in a new map made for testing, they seem to do normal damage. When I use them in my on-going colony, they keep getting the overpowered 18 damage per pellet issue and I can't figure out what's causing it to not happen in the testing map.

Just tested - vanilla shotgun is fine, vanilla auto-shotgun still doing 18dmg per pellet, same for double-barrel from VFE :(

Everything is fine but it seems like something to do with vfe or the ve framework. it does do 3 or so damage every time but it does seem to hit it in a lot of different spots.

It was probably made in 1.0 or beta 18 or something it's just the ammo name changed for the shotgun.

Double-barreled shotguns from VFE-Settlers still does 18 dmg with each pellet for me, same for vanilla pump action shotgun, tried to reinstall mod, put last in order, any suggestions?
