Is it the case that the two mods aren't compatible? I've only just started Laetatus and had the 'A useful dupe?' popup give me a Elridge from the base game, but I can't seem to recruit him. Is this just a bug on my end or a clash between the mods?
Any help is appreciated!
I had the flute and first drum in the assemblage, and when I tried to add the division bell, I received the division bell as a result of the recipe rather than the assemblage with the bell added, effectively deleting the two instruments I had there.
Inspired to make my own attempt at the other half of the dancer ascension.
I enjoyed a certain unblinking one making a splendorous return in a more uncontrollable fashion. I also liked putting my dear friend Douglas in charge of an orchestra. I think he liked it in his own kind of way.
Anyway, killing the Enemy Long when they are unknown should produce the necessary drops now!
Thank you for the compliments! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you were able to enjoy the mod. As of right now, I do have another large project in the works, but I don't want to spoil what it is just yet since it's still very early in development.
As for the Winter-Apostle mod, that was not actually created by me. It may have deleted by its creator, Jack21342, as I cannot find any of his workshop items nor his Steam profile any more.
So, here's the question: how do you keep going?
No, seriously, how. I killed the Long (the russian girl), got the Teeth, and am nearly finished going in the Evening Isles. I got practically all the items that are in the game but I still cannot understand how to even begin to ascend to Namehood. Sulachona does nothing with the Long Items you get at the beginning.
Also, if you want some tips on how to improve your mod, I may have some suggestions for you.
(That's to say if you are the creator of Secerno, if I'm wrong than sorry).
You are welcome to DM me any more criticisms you might have about the work - I'm happy to discuss without cluttering comments any further. Thank you again for the thoughts!
Getting Notoriety in the beginning is one of the worst things which can happen. Well, this might not be so bad in Heart cult with Tarantellist as starting cultist, or Secret Histories one. Otherwise you just can't do anything with Notoriety or Evidence(except losing job again to wear down timer with painting... but then you get Notoriety back). Especially since getting followers is also slowed down, because you need a lot of Passion to earn money.
Basically, this job makes start very slow and extremely grindy. I'll drop it entirely when I'll get level 6 Lore of each Aspect to be able to do all Comissions, but this would be hours into run because job makes it slow.
This job is comparable with basic Strength job, actually, at least until you can regularly use 3 Passion. And you only can do it after full Passion upgrade. I think it should at least give some Glimmering.
Influences from Mansus are too rare(around 1 per 4 minutes I think? 1 per 2 minutes if we count not only normal Influences) to use them as one of the main skill upgrades options. I don't see any real way to upgrade Health to max until moving into Morland's. And because of slow Funds gain this is also slowed down.
If your job expires, it's actually rather easy for one to restore it - sometimes this just necessitates tanking Notoriety, which is unfortunate but sometimes unavoidable. Unless you've got a Favor, of course. And a Long Lesson isn't all to bad on its own, unless you're repeatedly letting the performing job expire (which isn't optimal for a playthrough).
Again, thank you for voicing the criticism! It really helps with the design process of future projects.
The performing job gives 1-3 Funds based on how much Passion you use, which I think is fair. Skill upgrades are required of course, but you can fit a 60 second painting session with Passion + Restlessness OR a commission in the 90 second expiry window of the base job.
Furthermore, you can gain Vit/Glim/Eru in sustainable quantities at the Wood/White Door when your work isn't available Getting the first health upgrade isn't that difficult, even with the extra baggage the legacy starts you with, so sickness can be dealt with easily if you prioritize right. You're correct, of course - it's much slower! But using these strategies makes that negotiable.
- it's low-rewarding. Good as starting job, but compared to high-end jobs like board member in Glover and Commissions...
- It slows stat upgrades, because you can't continuously use painting for timer pausing and getting Glimmering.
- Makes it much harder to upgrade your Health: it is impossible to upgrade stat with just normal studying and without timer pausing, and there is no book for Vitality Lesson Learnt. I see some ways, but not many.
- It's unstable, unlucky combination of events near beginning and you just starve to death (especially since you are low on HP), or at least locked out of Morland's for quite a long time.
- Repercussion for skipping are quite severe, you can't just restart with some ease as in Glover. Too severe for the only job you can use in the beginning (well, there is also Painting, but i'm not a fan of flooding my board with Mystique).
Thank you for the critique and, of course, for playing. Glad you enjoyed it!
(And yes, play Tacueris when possible; it's my friend Jack's first serious foray into modding.)
I do think the payout is fair, however, as well as the occasional Dread penalty for making a mistake. Still, I'm still thankful for you expressing the thought!
