In the Great Cathedral, the shadow does not fall correctly, it seems to be left over from the original Cathedral.

I do not recognize this "TestModelLvl" folder in the error you're receiving, there must be another mod that affects the Reptiloid Demon enemy's files that's preventing loading. Check the mods you have installed and disable any that may affect this enemy type?

Okay, I actually figured out the problem. It was just a "Better Gnaar" mod that made the levels unloadable, but thanks though.

open the console with tilde when you get the Unable to Load Level message and take a screenshot, send it to me
alternately, if the console line is too long, go into your program files/steam/steamapps/common/Serious Sam Fusion 2017/Log and locate the log.txt file named "Sam2017_Unrestricted"
Scroll to the bottom of that log, and around there should be the printed error. Copy and paste that here.

So I tried starting a brand new playthrough on Serious on the moddable version and as soon as the loading began, it brought up an error saying 'Unable to Load Level.' Everything looked alright to me, do you have any idea how to fix this somehow?

Thanks btw, the Court yards of Gilgamesh do longer load in the modable game. The other levels do except that one. Any idea why ?

ctrl+tilde can let you view the ongoing simulation through windowed mode, which I think you can re-enter just by pressing T again? My editor is a bit wonky and doesn't like it when I do that, preventing me from easily doing simulation testing

BTW is there a button that once you test in the editor to return to the editor ? So that I will not hit escape and lose the progress.

@Tayzor I don't know what the intended purpose was of the unused spawners in the enemy template box, so I'll improvise a place for them. Same for the Coop Demon spawner 11944, I'll give it a purpose for coop now based on a certain field being crossed.

If you find any more unused spawners, please make a list and notify me on where they are and what their exact IDs are, I'll update the levels across both versions of ASSHDR to repurpose them as needed. I'm working on another project right now, but I can set this as a quick update on the interim. Feel free to add me as a friend if needed.

Hey Seriously Stupid I tested Courtyards of Gildamesh and found some broken spawns.
The spawn id are 11934 with another 3 more that overlay on each other and 11944.

Yeah, but do they both have some unique stuff or is the base version closer to vanilla while Alternate is like an enhancement? I've been told I might want to check out both.

the alternate addition is just cosmetic changes to the level (skies, lighting, etc.). Mechanically it is the same as ASSHDR.

Hey, just to make sure I'm interpreting this correctly: if I want to check out ASSHDR in co-op with a friend, should we just jump straight into this Alternate Edition, or does the original version do some things differently enough to make both of them worth playing separately?

@Snark: Nope: on the right side of the simulation window, you'll see a bunch of tabs, one of them being the the "bake" tab. Select that, and at the top of the tab will be an option that says "Adjust lightmap size." From there you can adjust lightmap dimensions and readjust them. It might look a little weird after doing that, but don;t worry about it, just rebake visibility and then bake the level, it should work.

Thanks for the reply man, by lightmap size, do you mean the selection range on the distant light? I have already set that, I rebaked the visibility on the karnak mdl and then did Alt+G to bake the GI and nothing changed.

@Snark: to get distant lights working, you need to rebake the visibility and adjust the lightmap size. I don't know if this is always the case, but if you mod Karnak, that should be the first thing you do when editing the map; at one point I experienced a problem where doing this process would crash the editor, well after I had made numerous other changes. Hope that helps.

I agree with Dextrose, I think some of these versions of levels should be in the base version of the mod because they are closer to classic. Tower of Babel for example.
