This is a **REALLY** handy little mod - makes trips between (for example) an asteroid base and a planetary base VERY quick & easy!
I also have a fleet carrier in addition to an asteroid & planetary base, and at present my FC is parked outside the asteroid base. I can get from space to the planet, but not back again. I understand this is because my asteroid base and FC (each of which have their own gates) are closer than 10km.
Would it be possible for an on/off option be added to the gates, so I can switch them off remotely (using a laser antenna, for example)? I could then deactivate 1 of the gates which is too close to the other, and use the remaining gate.
Now I have to grind down 1 of the gates so I can use the other, which is not ideal.

@VONMON, that's likely because the puddle actually contains invisible blocks (needed for antenna transmission). They have no physics or visuals though, so Keen likely needs to update their collision avoidance to ignore invisible physics-less grids.

@Keltskiy, the Ore mod is optional. If you don't use it, this mod will substitute the ingredients so you can make it with regular in-game ore (still need to produce naqaduah ingots, but don't need naquadah ore).

Just a heads up, if you have an AI block engaging in an autopilot action, and your gate activates, the AI block seems to go into evasive maneuvers. I think it might have something to do with collision avoidance, as it doesn't do that when the avoidance is turned off.

@DreameR Im Not sure how the Mod Mechanic are (Just find it right now) but when its like in the Movies/Series... The Gates are only a One Way Connection... So Earth -> Moon... So if you want to go back to Moon, You need to close the Connection and start a new one from Moon -> Earth... I test the Mod later ^^ and see if im right

Though incomplete there is information on Mod bugs/etc in the Main Mod (Stargate Mod) if anyone is having trouble, in particular Supergates are recorded not to be functioning as intended. Information on the mod as a whole is somewhat spread thin; over multiple sources, but suffice to say, there is a minimal 10km limit between gates, and if you play on a MP Server you'll likely want to disable supergates to avoid game crashes (info on how to do this in the main mod)

The gate only does the spinning if you use the computer DHD. All the other DHDs just do the pow pow pow chevron lock.

Just thought I'd ask since it's been a while since I've used these. Looking at trying them out on a server in limited numbers by not using the ore mod. Last time I played extensively the gates would spin and do the full dialling sequence but now it seems whether I quick dial or enter the address manually into the DHD it seems to do the chevrons with the noise but no spinning or anything.

I want to "MAKE IT SPIN" lmao

moin, ich hab mal ne frage, irgend wie habe ich ein felhler mit dem naquadar ingot.

auf meinem single player hab ich das mit naquardar ingut das ich den naquardar bar bauen kann und jeztzt aufem server hab ich das mit vier normalen erzen was ich eigentlich nicht will. ich hatte zwangsläuftig dainen mod entfernt, seid dem gibt es kein naquarddar bar mehr mit 4 minnerallien. und build vison hat mir angezeitgt das das naqaurdar bar (aus naqaurdar ) auf dem [SEE SUPERGATE PSA] Stargate Modpack (Economy Support!) stammt, trotzdem finde ich jetzt grad nicht so den fehler dabei. ?

has anyone had the misfortune of when going from one planet to the other through a gate it unleashes the ultimate klang. pulsing all rotors, pistons, and hinges on the grid the gate is attached to until it pretty much explodes horribly

@Tumor everything I only have the gate mod and i can make them just fine. It take Silver,Gold,Platinum, and Cobalt to make a Naquadah bar that you need to make the gate.

@[TFG] MacGamerCH: The duplicate address happens if two gates are within 10km of each other. You need to have your buddy move his ship.

@Gwindalmir: I'm currently getting a CTD when attempting to use Quick Dial from a control seat.

Howdy, how can i change the Stargate Adress?
I got a dublicate Adress and cannot reach it from space to my Planet Base (my Mate got a stargate and i got one on the same Planet, his on the Ship and mine on Ground)

@ivoivo20: If you subscribe to just this mod, and not the Ores mod, the players will be unable to build it as they won't have access to the required components.

A fix for super gates crashing server on collision or on modifying the structure after being placed.

Any chance can make the Puddle Jumper DHD only one block wide?
Would like to fit one in my Puddle Jumper cockpit but only have one block space in between the two seats. Maybe you can do the placement box one block wide but visual its wider and goes into the two neighboring blocks?

why do the stargates hate subgrids i had a fighter that i flew into a super gate and it ripped the wings right off because it had the wings attached by rotors so they can fold up for landing

@BloodAngel099, Thanks for the report about the projection. I just pushed a fix for that.
As for the collision issue, that's a side affect from the game sometimes when teleporting. I've tried to minimize it, but it's clearly still a problem. I've also pushed a possible fix for that, and I'd like to know if it works for you.

Sweet, took me awhile to figure out the problem. AWESOME mod! I also have the issues of sometimes using the gate and having collision issues when I step through it. it acts like there are invisible blocks that I am running into. i have found jumping in a cockpit, control seat, or using the Atlantean transporters a time or two will often correct the issues.

I have discovered that If you have a projector setup for repairs and the startgate is apart of the projection, the DHD will somehow end up dialing the projected gate instead of the physical gate. I have had to turn off my projectors to use the gates because of this.

Xev88gaming, it should work just fine. You need to place a Stargate and DHD, once those are placed walk up to the DHD and look just to the side of the symbol area (assuming you're using the Milky way or Atlantis DHD's) and there will be an invisible terminal access port. Go into there, and you can scroll down to the gate addresses, select one and hit quick dial.

Has the server lag issue been fixed yet? Been having a horrible time of when someone dials a gate and steps through it’ll drop server sim speed to .05.
