so uhm, is it normal that when i update to rimstock 2.0 all of my current bonds have -1 hp, so they are worth 0$?

It seems that there is a GameCondition of this mode in the current game.
Play for a few more days to get the GameCondition over, then save and remove the mod.

Are the prices at all currently listed to objective, determinable values -- like, the actual relative size and strength of factions -- or is it just kind of random? Is it investing, or day trading, lol

Fixed a bug where bonds in pawn's inventory would not disappear when delisting.
Modified the dividend item to come as the most expensive item type.

could it be possible to have an option to get only silver for dividends, because it's cool and all but i got 18 aviator googles, and what am i gonna do with 18 aviator googles?

First thank you for the mod. Very much like the idea. That said I just got my first delivery of dividends arrive. I received silver and many other items as dividends. The problem is some of the items were marble cobblestone walls and other variations. These walls replaced anything they landed on. Wrecking my crops and base to a degree. Is this a possible conflict with another mod or?

Also, regarding bond coupons, if I remember correctly, they are only paid prior to the redemption date of the bond, since once a bond's life ends, you are supposed to redeem it (even if you don't and just keep it or roll the bond over). Might still get more coupon payments if you roll the bond over, but this ain't real life, so who cares! Since the bonds in this mod expire, I guess basically the same result.

I feel I would be remiss if I didn't clarify this from earlier, but bond coupon payments are dividend like, but not literally dividends. They are essentially interest payments based on the initial value of the bond when it was bought. Not saying this should be changed in the mod since it was already coded, but hey, accuracy and all (like also adding stocks to this mod that pay dividends using the dividend code, but if you manage to acquire a controlling share in another faction, they become permanently friendly so long as you have controlling majority). Except maybe the Empire (they too good for puny economics), although that would prolly require a separate sub-mod. Food for thought.

This mod looks very promising and cant wait to see where it goes!

I am thinking of linking with rim war and diplomacy.
However, it is not yet a priority.
The next goal is that the stock price will be affected by the success/failure of rimworld vanilla's quest.

Have you thought about maybe adding an integration with the Empire mod? and Rimwar?
It could add a whole new dynamic to the game.

You could make factions generate bonds associated to them that can each crash and disappear if they reach 0 worth, thus replacing the bond expiration mechanic with something more... understandable. Unless there's a whole lore about why they expire, like some sort of economic agreement between factions as to why this has been established as a common rule.

Just my idea though and nothing you need to actually implement or change in any way, as this is your mod and honestly, this is fantastic as is. I hope to see more cool updates. :t0cactuar:

I'm not understanding the expiration date mechanic of bonds. Real bonds are an incentive to wait a certain amount of time before asking for your invested money back.

Let me use ten of your dollars for my project, and every day you wait to get it back I'll add a dollar when you come calling, up to ten days. After that the bond has reached it's cap, and from then on I will pay $11 to whoever presents the bond for redemption.

This seems like a rhetorical questions, but I assume a faction's bond value is pegged to that faction's wealth stat? IE, so the value of a rich spacer faction's bond would be greater than that of some primitive faction? This assumes primitive factions even sell bonds, seems like only industrial tech level and above should do bonds...

Also, is there coupon clipping for the bonds (ie, dividends, if you don't know what bond coupons are, look it up...)?

This mod definitely has the potential to change the economy of the game.

I'm interested in what @killgaet is asking, do your actions affect the pricing of the bonds? If so, it would be very interesting to see what else could be implemented, ie. sanctions, crashing a market, etc. If you could have the system integrate with RimWar like @Drunken Eagle stated, that would make the bond market pretty realistic.

Option added: Use enemy faction bond (default : off)

Note: Since the default has been changed due to disabling of hostile factions, the bonds of hostile factions may disappear. If you don't want this, turn on the option, restart Rimworld and load it.
