@smutty Hey, you can only use workshop doors on this as the Devs have removed the ability to have freestanding doors outside ever since an update that allows you to change external doors completely
SmuttyPigeon 24 Feb, 2023 @ 3:18pm
How do you put a door in this?
Natini  [author] 17 Feb, 2022 @ 8:05am
@Zaffron, and anyone else interested. I have uploaded a new conservatory to the workshop. I will not remove this one. Hope the new one is liked as much as this one!

Hi Zaffron, thanks, I'm glad you like it! I am happy to give it a go, my skills have improved vastly since making this. Please do send me some pictures in DMs as I am not quite sure what you mean, so references would be great.

As for the surface placing issue, tricky one, as I was trying to find a happy medium of something that could be placed on top of the floor tiles while at the same time not having collision problems with buildings and floor decorations. I'll admit sometimes it can fall inbetween the minuscule gap between floor panels. A learning curve I guess! But again, skills have improved, so heres to hoping I can tackle these errors in newer makes. I can no longer update this conservatory due to a weird glitch in unity.

Just on a second note to my comment - when I've used this it does not allow me to set it on a surface.

Excellent work, Natini!

I love this item. It is a perfect way to expand a home with the OPENING window extending the footprint of a home making it feel bigger. Is it possible to get these also in a must more rectangle version? That would allow for a long curved pathway with flower beds. I would be happy to provide you some real-life pictures of examples.

The only thing I would ask is if you can make it so it can "sit" on top of surfaces. There is a point along the diagonal walls toward the door where you can't put anything underneath and the best/only you can do is put it a surface fill like sand and maybe a plant on top of that.

If you could have it where we could set it on tile or the outside surfaces it would be great. Especially the outside surfaces. Tile or concrete is what most conservatories have as floors. Again, I'm happy to provide these real-life examples.

Absolutely fantastic work thank you so much
Natini  [author] 22 Jan, 2021 @ 1:24pm
@beasty, I have tested it and it still works okay, if you're placing it on paving slabs, you have to have the cursor on the brickwork and not the border. If it isnt that, then there is an object blocking placement.
Logan8 22 Jan, 2021 @ 6:31am
It wont let me place it outside
garyh2462 21 Jan, 2021 @ 1:47pm
Outstanding brilliant, class. Thank you so much.
Natini  [author] 20 Jan, 2021 @ 3:32am
@dee No, it does not require the DLC to be placed outside, however you won't be able to have flooring in it, as the paving slabs are only in the gardening DLC. So where it doesnt *need* it, I highly recommend it
Dee 19 Jan, 2021 @ 7:19pm
Does this require the garden or the HGTV DLC?
Natini  [author] 19 Jan, 2021 @ 2:35pm
right now I'm struggling to get unity to open so might take a hot minute :')
Jester 19 Jan, 2021 @ 2:12pm
Let me know how you go :)
Natini  [author] 19 Jan, 2021 @ 2:10pm
I shall give it a try next time, cheeky- but if it works it works
Jester 19 Jan, 2021 @ 2:06pm
I know the exact problem as it's happened to me before too, its because the file is trying to reference the data from the prefab and its now gone, it's such a pain. I have a workaround though its not perfect but it works lol just scale down the object you want to get rid of to 0 on x y and z or even just small enough to hide within another mesh object. Then just add the the new mesh as a child under the same parent in the heirachy. I'm sure there is a better way probably lol. Awesome thanks for the info I've been wanting to add some larger items but was worried about collision coz i couldnt figure out the mesh collider but a few box and sphere colliders could do the job
Natini  [author] 19 Jan, 2021 @ 1:31pm
@jester I also use box colliders, I find they're easier to manipulate to have an object do what you want. For odd shapes I add an empty and just manipulate that position to have the box in the right place. I haven't worked with mesh ones, I am not sure the house flipper exporter would recognise it on its own (i suppose a tiny box collider could be added to trick it)
Natini  [author] 19 Jan, 2021 @ 1:29pm
@Jester Oh I know how to update an item, but when I replace the mesh it does one of two things: it'll close down the update in the house flipper window, as it thinks I've closed the item I am updating, or if I manage to replace the mesh without the update closing, it wont acknowledge the new mesh even exists, and if I click update, nothing happens, it doesnt even start. The error I get says I destroyed the mesh- well yes because I wanted a new one. I can't figure out how to make the program recognise a new mesh under the same item :( I even tried replacing the files to trick it but to no avail
Jester 19 Jan, 2021 @ 11:36am
Also did you use a box collider or mesh?
Jester 19 Jan, 2021 @ 11:34am
For future uploads of course :)
Jester 19 Jan, 2021 @ 11:34am
Awesome idea!! In regards to updating a current item in unity in the exporter window click on updating existing item then work from there. Should save you time having to do a complete new upload, all you would need to do is probably just replace the old mesh with the new :) Hope this helps
Rose Tea 18 Jan, 2021 @ 10:15am
This one is really nice! I used it on a house today and it works perfectly fine for me ^^ thanks
TheOriginalAngel™ 17 Jan, 2021 @ 6:22pm
No rush - take your time. I'm super happy with what you've done. It will be fun to experiment with wood tones and metal finishes.
Natini  [author] 17 Jan, 2021 @ 5:14pm
@ghlm also thank you Im glad you like it :D
Natini  [author] 17 Jan, 2021 @ 5:14pm
@godhatelags Sure, I'll upload a dark variation of this sometime in the next couple days :)
TheOriginalAngel™ 17 Jan, 2021 @ 3:59pm
(crying gay tears) You just made my entire day homie. I have been using doors and windows to make a version of this. Please do a black one. Thank you.
Natini  [author] 17 Jan, 2021 @ 7:08am
@plutama, oh? are you sure? It is hard to see from the inside. You may need to unsub from it, leave the game, load the game back up, resub to the item.
plutotama 17 Jan, 2021 @ 5:00am
ty for this, its awesom! i used it as a garage lol. although my game doesnt show any glass in the roof :(
SchmerzJägerin 15 Jan, 2021 @ 12:52pm
Ty is ok. i just removed here! But the Final is great! ty.
Natini  [author] 15 Jan, 2021 @ 10:30am
@krauter You can move and sale the old one, if you look up, at where the roof joins the conservatory from the inside, looking towards where the doors go, on your right. there is an image on t he listing showing you where it is
SchmerzJägerin 15 Jan, 2021 @ 10:08am
i made it ty and this one you can move and sale ty again!
