Sorry, but I stopped caring on Stellaris 2021.
Thank you for your notice and the offer. I'd like to wait fo rthe other source mods before I start a 3.0 update.
Sorry for the delay, but I was busy referring to PDX moderators about written and unwritten rules about released mods.
As for your request, it would need a lot of requests and alowance from the origin modders to make such a project into a full release. I did it here with this one and with 1-2 other projects and can tell, it's a hell of micro to get in contact. Some even now didn't answer, probably they quit modding or Steam, do not understand English or simply don't like to comunicate.
So, unlikely, except you would join into with your manpower and do that unpleasant request work for me.
Besides, you could start everytime on your own with Irony Mod Manager and keep it as a private project.
Ok, thank you for reporting. Has to be caused by the last patch, going to revert and invest. Could you probably give me a screenshot?
That is an excellent idea. BTW, there is allready a link to each included mods...just put your mouse on the ' -> ' arrows (personal style).
To reinforce the idea that taking stuff without permission is bad. Ask, and respect the answer. Or don't merge them and just make a collection. That is all you have to do. It's not hard, and there is literally no excuse to not do it.
Re-read the conversation with @AlphaAsh to know the reasons for multiplayer.
May I ask, what is your goal in this?
Well, it is still a private project out of my Steam collection.
But one point I'm thinking about for a while is to probably switch it back to private and have only friends acess.
Only in your opinion, that's all.
ModJam2020 is off the list, farewell now.
Wow. What a reasoned argument. Well done.
However, a fair question that stands for itself, when you are going after someone else to follow law and order as you like to see it. Am I wrong?
"BTW, did you give your author rights to Nvidia when contributing to their sponsored project?"
Wow. What a reasoned argument. Well done.
I do politely disagree with you in that matter and Steam also clearly sees it the same as me. I'm purely using mods from a Steam collection, which is backed by their rules. Using them from collection or merged is obvious no violation of rules to Steam.
But I do not want to start an endless discussion,
I'm not sure you are backed by all other modders that contributed toward ModJam in your mission. In fact I allready discussed in that matter with one of your colleagues, who didn't have had any issue with including ModJam in a merged-mod. In fact he gave me assistance for doing it the right way...
BTW, did you give your author rights to Nvidia when contributing to their sponsored project?
However, as for your kind request, ModJam is out with next update.
Have you ever tried a modded cross-play with more than 3 mods for native and localised players? It's a hell of doom for coordination and it last second one coming up with 'I have the wrong checksum' while you already overdone the starting point by hours.
So far I never touched any code of others and didn't make any changes other than using load order, LIOS and else that rules or code have given. Snipping your Caretaker origin out of ModJam, THAT would be a violation of authors rights in my view. And yes, I would be able to, but I don't.
However, give me some time to snip ModJam from this mod-merge, should be done within next hours.
" It wouldn't be possible to use ModJam for multiplayer when playing with localised players otherwise." This is just as false as a bunch of other claims you've made.
ModJam2020 contains some of my work. Since you are clearly capable of merging a bunch of pther modders work, you shouldn't have trouble taking out part of it.
The problem is, that #ModJam 2020 is full of localization issues, which I made at least for German language by simple copy/paste. It wouldn't be possible to use ModJam for multiplayer when playing with localised players otherwise.
But ok, final call: ModJam out or keep it?
So let's settle this issue. Do you want me to erase #ModJam 2020 from my list and any other merged-mods I've done?
It's kind of funny to me, that you didn't blame anybody else, as ModJam is part of many other merged-mods already, which is a clear sign of acceptance and admiring to your and the other's work. But views might be quite different, at least that I'm willing to accept.
as for 1 - no it isn't required for the merged-mod, but people might get inspirated by included mods and follow the above links to the original author. It is the key idea behind doing a merged-mod to not have to load all single mods. If there is a technical way how to deal with that, I'm all ears, but currently I can't see a way how to solve it otherwise.
as for 2 - I even wasn't able to read your first comment, because Steam absolutely blocked me from the comment section as soon you reported me. You could have stayed calm and give me the chance to answer to your post in first place and decide afterwards if you have to report me.
Besides....I even can't find any mentioning of 'AlphaAsh' in any of the included mods, except you may have contributed toward #ModJam 2020, which I can't figure out from Nvidia as sponsor? Would you please help me out with some information which mod is of yours?
As for 'not set private', you are right, but I can't share a private mod with some stranger in multiplayer without granting them friendship, which I clearly do not plan give to anybody.
2- There was nothing inhuman about my concerns or voicing them.
I'm sorry, if it offended you how I use Steam collections. I really admire your work and do not claim any of your work, nor did I ever from anybody else. In fact, I see it as a contribution to great authors if their mods are being played, instead of locked behind iron curtins.
However, I have sent you a friend-invite so we can talk about this probably misunderstanding of Steam rules. It may be that I am doing you wrong in here, but I'm not sure if it isn't all backed by Steam's collection rules, as I only pack mods from my collection together into better suitable peaces. I do not change any code and do not claim any as mine.
So lets talk and act as humans.
Except it's not set private.
"All credits go to the authors of the several included mods." I don't want credit from you, thanks. Don't re-distribute content I've authored without permission. And you don't have it.
Reported.
