If this is in the changelog I missed it, but I'm wondering how much revolver ammo can you now hold and how much do the pickups give (I swear it used to be 12 in inventory and 6 per pickup max back in 2012, I think 18 is better but having 12 bullets per some pickups feels excessive)

There are separate mods in workshop that state for example "We've got hostiles v 2.51". Does this workshop addon BMS Classic - Full Game (v1.30) already contain that WGH v 2.51 version or an older version?

Hey first things first, im so glad theres folks that care about the original HL1 experience and doing away with some extremely odd mapping changes (no backtracking, closing off several areas and cutting off a fellas chance to explore and get more gameplay content??) so far ive only played up to the freezer in office complex but after going trough the vanilla game up to the vort room in office complex i can definitely say this is far more welcome. i think ill be going through HL1 or HL source fixed afterwards for comparisons sake.

I'm more curious than anything: how does BM excessively railroad and handhold and what are its questionable balance decisions and watered down combat? I only recently finished the game and I can think of some things you're talking about compared to vanilla HL1 (I've finished that game and its expansions as well), but I'd like to hear it from the devs of this mod. If you'll oblige me.

Finished a playthrough with this mod installed, and I just wanted to say that I don't think I'll ever go back to vanilla Black Mesa again.

Aside from one enemy spawn in Questionable Ethics that messes with the original atmosphere (Spawning in an Alien Grunt right after pressing any of the buttons to kill the captured one), the entire mod is outstanding and an objective improvement to the original. Thank you for making this, and I'm looking forward to the overhaul of Xen!

It's CC's version of the vent room in HL1 that has a minor platform puzzle, a bunch of barnacles, bones, and a large amount of shotgun shells. We've been thinking of redoing it to something useful, challenging, or just use it for environmental storytelling for a long time, but it's never quite been worth the time investment. The valve shuts off the gas on the catwalk.

Is there anyone else here not getting the "treefrog" transmission to play on surface tension? I subscribed to this mod, then immediately went into the game, and the speech did not play. Would like some help on this.

I noticed after going through the freezer room vents, there was the small room with barnacles in it, and i saw there was a valve on a pipe you could interact with, whats the purpose of that valve?

The maps used are the 1.5 maps, with all the bling features that CC never bothered implementing/using added, invisible rocks removed, enemy pathing polished, more detail, downgrades reverted, points of no return removed, areas with nothing in them being put to use (QE A), good things from pre-1.5 re-added, additional HL1 setpieces, and etc. Graphically, BMSC is vastly superior to the vanilla game, without really impacting performance, because we also did a lot of optimization.

BMCE still isn't implemented, and if we eventually get around to it, I think it's more likely it'll work like in the Hazard course mod, where variant NPCs are simply placed in the maps, so people don't have to bother with the convoluted BMCE process.

anyway, I have 2 simple questions myself: is it now known if Character Expansion is now compatible? and, since these are the old maps (I guess so?), do they have the more detailed modelling&texturing of the 2019+ updates?

Only the floor tiles are 'classic,' so you probably have some vending machine mods. We decided to go back to the oldschool floor tiles since we made the whole chapter look more like a 90s office (and restored most of it to how it was in HL1), versus the vanilla game's contemporary one with board walls and cubicles.

It's an easy change in hammer.

Hope this isn't too nitpicky, but I feel like the classic texture edits (vending machines, the floor tiles in office complex, etc) should be a separate version. Or if that's a bit much of a suggestion, how would I go about deleting those things myself?

Got my previous comment fixed by reinstalling the mod, that is all it took. Must be some kind of priority thing, but that was my only issue the entire playthrough so far so I consider that a win if the solution was this easy.
