There are tons of historical examples of Counts and even Dukes marrying in their "best interests", relative only to their neighbours, and ignoring faith considerations if in immediate danger and they weren't utter zealots.
Kings or Emperors never would agree to marriage propositions from heathens in normal circumstances, sure, but even they could be forced to, by peace agreements after a major defeat for example, which the game fails to simulate.
So your mod is very welcome to add some "story depth" back into the game, which it sorely lacks. Thank you.
