this submod does not work properly, to make it work change the reference "dawi_passive1" and 2 for the proper name SFO uses in the land_unit_to_abilities junciotns table.

This IS now updated for the newest SFO and crashes are fixed as far as I can tell. I didn't increase costs on them this update but will reevaluate unit costs later this week. I was NOT able to do much campaign testing so please let me know if there are campaign issues.

For now, I made some tweaks to the Iron Thunderers.

The SFO Grudgerakers now get the caltrops and the SFO Dwarf Engineers get both Caltrops and the deployable Organ Gun. Let me know what yall think of that addition in your campaigns. I can undo that if players don't like it.

I'm not sure what goes into an SFO compat patch. But the balancing of this mod seems a bit off. Some of these units are much cheaper than basic thunderers yet are far more powerful.

I added this to my mods for the previous version of SFO. None of the units showed up :/. I tried re-ordering the load order, and still nothing happened. Thoughts?

Updated finally! I hit the update button multiple times on my end in the past month and Steam was ignoring me. I think I had to actually make a change somewhere for Steam to accept it.

Hey Sander, unsub from this patch and the main Dawi Thunder mod, delete both from the data directory, then resub to male sure you have the most recent versions of both.

Wayne, that almost sounds OP for them now, but glad you are liking them better. The wall, because it obstructs sight, is a very different deployable from stakes/caltrops.

I just watched the grudesolvers tear up a group of black orks like paper. It was beautiful. I had to admit I was skeptical because of the projectile count compared to SFO grudgerakers but it really out performed it! The dawi wall thingie is pretty cool too. Albeit it does obstruct firing if too close to it...

Still, all in all, I think this is a great improvement :D

The dawi thunder units are lacking the unyielding oath buff and 5% physical resistance that all dwarf units in SFO have and also, I don't think it is balanced because the iron thunderers still under-perform regular thunderers in firepower. Not just that, regular thunderers have the shield breaker buff and iron thunderers lacks that.

The grudge solvers are also pretty underwhelming. SFO grudge rakers have higher range, nearly double ranged weapon strength and shieldbreaker buff. Also, for some reason, the grudge solvers have a unit count of 72 instead of the standard 80 for dwarfs infantry?

sfo adds a unit of engineers with hand cannons in their roster. The are in the tier 5 engineer building chain, not in the normal range/artillery chain. Maybe you can move them there and use them for balancing purposes (models per unit, factionwide and army caps, stats,...)

Been looking forward to this, but is it possible to buff the units a bit more and add SFO abilities (like shield breaker for iron thunders/grudge solvers?).

I like how you did the progression with your Guns of the Empire SFO, where early units were worse then handgunners (milita vs standing army), and later tier units outperformed them substantially (but were capped so you couldn't make multiple armies of professional tier units).

Your Dawi units look elite but besides some improved melee SFO units outperform them
