"One well oiled F6 key" is right. Good thing I have plenty of WD40 on hand. Interesting map.

That was a nice bridge-based map :) The solutions came to me almost immediately, even if I also tried to bring the cube with me in a jump at some point, I abandoned that idea soon enoug to find a way more easy solution :p

if you missed it, I thought you might be interested in the following ?
I have installed both, but not had time to play them yet:
the 1st 2 are:
2 x portal 2 mods
1 free & 1 cheap
supported by steam
can download & install easily, from steam store.
(I suggest dowloading at off peak times, when internet trafic is low, to prevent data loss or corruption)

:)
just took my own advice & did another manual backup.
when I had problems with my new pc, my complete windows backup,
did not work.
& I ended up having to re-install my operating system.
so manual backups of priority items, served me well :)

Good advice. Thank you. I'll be backing up my maps from now on.

to restore: with steam & portal on your pc, follow the above path.
if steam & portal just installed, open puzzles on your pc.
delete what is inside puzzles & replace with a copy from your backup.
what is in puzzles, to inside puzzles on your pc.
this works with new operating system or new pc.
however don't delete maps on your pc, that are not backed up.
I have successfuly done this after a new operating system & after a new pc.
when my old pc died, I used a external hard drive dock, to place the hard drive out of my dead pc into. then accessed my maps using my new pc, copying them to it.
when completed, in the editor, the restored maps look like default new maps.
just click build, to see your finished maps.

my internet provider verified it was google.
as for your present & future maps, back them up.
they are the only thing steam wont restore.
path to portal 2 maps on a windows 7 home premium 64 bit pc.
start / computer / C drive (or which ever one your operating system is on) /program files (x86) / steam / steam apps / common / portal 2 / portal 2 / puzzles.
then copy puzzles (which are your maps) to a external drive.

That doesn't sound right. They wouldn't ask for a phone number. You can verify an email address other ways. Don't know if I'd give them mine.
I have lost the ability to edit all my maps from about a month back and before. My newer ones are in the editor but all the older ones are now the way they stay.

thankyou
if you need any hint's just ask.
I am having problems with youtube / google.
so I don't know how long I can publish video's.
they want me to create a new email address & verify it by sending a text to my phone.
they have no right to my personel phone number.
luckily the video's to these 2 maps got published :)
I have added more of your maps to my list.

Hey mood. We haven't talked in a while. I thank you for the comments and I'm happy you had fun. I have been looking at one of your maps for quite some time. I'm glad you have something new for me. Headed there now. One day I'll finish the other one.

I found that hard
trying to fire portals, in mid air, & take the cube with me, took a while.
& the final part, I also found hard.
did not help myself, on 1st attempt, at last part, trying it with the infinite drop :)
but got there in the end, without infinate drop.
you were kind. allowing in & out of portals, as much as we like, to aim portal correctly.

this was my 2nd visit.
did not enjoy 1st time=I failed.
but this time was good fun, when I got into it.
thumbs up.
I have a 2 part map, if your interested.
I will leave a link to part 2, on another of your maps:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=287835782
ps. you will know at least some of the demo map, as you used 1 aspect yourself.

Very nice. That's the fastest yet. You did find some shortcuts. Thanks for playing and for the videos.

After thinking a bit more about the map, I thought of a possible way to break your map. I decided to test it as I was sure it would work and recorded the breakrun. Here is the breakrun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWwsGYWiSns

Nice map. I liked how the map worked. Not a hard test, but not easy either, though I guess it will be hard if you haven't seen some of these techniques before.

@GraveNox Did you happen to look at my walkthrough? You completed the map not only in record time but with a novel twist that I've never seen here. I didn't even think of it myself.
Oh and thank you for playing and recording a video for me.

Nice work, the timer was a little tight for me, but I suppose it was meant to be a challenge. Thumbs up:)

Thank you my friend. Glad you liked it. I sure like playing your maps and I reccomend them to all.
Brave 30 Mar, 2014 @ 3:42pm
Nice fun fling map! For the first jump I did not use the light bridge, I stood on the fizzler bracket that's kick out from the wall to press the pedestal button, had a portal on the upper wall, drop down and shot another portal on the flip panel, passed through my portals shooting another portal on the floor to get across the goo to the second flip panel.
Getting the solid cube, I probably exploited this part, but you can sneak a portal on the upper high ceiling pass the grating standing on the floor, and that is how I picked up the light bridge.
Thumbs up for the fun factor!
Donderbus 29 Mar, 2014 @ 10:39am
Took me a while to start on it but I like it, good job! in the cube dropper room you can see a white panel from the first room, so the white floor and ceiling (for the fling) are not needed
kimist108 15 Mar, 2014 @ 10:32pm
Agree with the well oiled F6 key.
Jade BGE 15 Mar, 2014 @ 11:24am
I think the timer speed or lack thereof has to do with the way the player goes about using it ie. portal usage/placement etc. It worked for me though I did not find it generous I also did not find it too short.
stormsend  [author] 15 Mar, 2014 @ 10:56am
Thank you. For some reason I thought the timer was overly generous. We'll have to see about that.
Jade BGE 15 Mar, 2014 @ 9:45am
Fun map. I enjoyed playing very much. Worked well for me. Thank you!
Test Chamber Junkie 15 Mar, 2014 @ 4:47am
Good map. the only thing i would change is add 1 more sec to the pedistal button that controls the angled panel
