not too sure if this is just a me problem. but whenever my takeshita gets into a strike exchange, he freezes up and i cannot continue the match. i tried changing both his basic strike exchange and strike exchange finisher but he still freezes.

You can do whatever you want, but this is officially how his name is presented in Japan now. https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:720/format:webp/1*voi9rcRi7dhktu3RwQ5gKQ.jpeg

Finally fixed - also adding the new spinning falcon arrow he does.

Okay, thanks. Going to fix him (and give him another AEW-focused move set update) tomorrow on my day off.

I haven't noticed it with the back grapple one, I think it just has something to do with grab detection on rebound moves.

Okay I have heard this from someone else too. I will remove it. Does the same happen with the back grapple one?

The Counter Blue Thunder Bomb you used freezes when it doesn't connect and completely kills the match. Takeshita does the animation as if he hit it and is stuck in the "pinfall"

What is it?
shadic2019 27 Mar, 2024 @ 6:58pm
Are you going to add his new finisher?

Got it, makes a bit more sense now and I looked it up. I might reinstall the modpack and test out the Chain wrestling if it doesn't prove to be time consuming. Great edits, man, they do have common elements but are varied in their signatures, their logic, taunts, shouts, etc. Keep it up, and thanks for the explanation!

Thanks for the feedback.

The Chickenwing Facelock is actually a fill-in for Takeshita's Plus Ultra, which is a finisher for him. I did just adjust the logic so he only goes for it in the Opponent Critical stage and not earlier, which should make it seem like less of a rest hold.

So essentially the match ended in a way I intended, just maybe a bit too early. I would advise using my Ibushi as well, my edits are all made to work with each other and I can't speak to the quality of other's work.

The Chain wrestling mod has nothing to do with this - it simply lets the early match headlock and wristlock "chain" into other moves.

I like the use of rest holds early on in the match, since I enjoy the slower pace and the "feeling-out" process that many Japanese matches implement; something which is widely used in your edits. But man, a BANGER of a match between Ibushi (KRadiation's edit, essentially with the logic of Avenger) and your Takeshita just ended with a chickenwing facelock, which he used about 5 or 6 times as a rest hold before Ibushi submitted.

With your experience, have your edits been prone to ending matches this way, and not escalating properly, or was it an outlier of a result? Also, would using the Chain Wrestling and Chain Starter lower the risk of a match ending with a rest hold? I like your edits, the fact that you match shouts and voices to wrestler, like Jay White and Mark Briscoe. They work well with edits from other creators too. My two cents. Thanks.

dnmt  [author] 12 Jul, 2022 @ 5:05am
It doesn't sound like this move is in the game...is it on the workshop?

Habibisan 11 Jul, 2022 @ 10:23am
