I'm getting the gate half-open problem as well and the problem seems to be that the def is using the "mover" texture for the single door rather than the double one. I was able to fix it by manually changing the graphic data texpath from "FT_PalisadeDoor_Mover" to "FT_PalisadeDoubleDoor_Mover".

By the way, thank you AOBA for this mod! I really enjoy it :)

Also experiencing the palisade gate door texture issue. The gate still functions correctly, but half of the texture on each door seems to be invisible when closed, making it appear as if it's constantly open

Yeah... I dunno what happened but now the gates are appearing half open.

the Palisade gate has less hp (162) than the Palisade door (260) other than that this mod and series is fantastic

The cavalry stakes are too op makes the game boring though I have not tried it on late game raids.

Anyone still having issues with the doors missing textures in 1.4, the linux patch also works for windows.

Having a wierdness where the Palisade gate isn't loading any kind of graphic. It's just black. It works, and people can use it but it looks awful. Everything else works fine, so I haven't any clue what could be causing it. (I used Perspective Doors before the update, and was fine, but that's not updated yet.)

Thanks for the tip @ShadowVVolf but I'll probably just wait for an update lol. I've done some minor save file editing in notepad but my knowledge and skills for much more than that are very limited and I don't mind waiting for the mod to update for a fix. Appreciate the help though.

The issue is the 1x1 Palisade door and the 1x2 Palisade door are both using the mover sized for the 1x2 door.

As such for the 1x2 door, go to the mod's textures, rename "FT_PalisadeDoor_Mover.png" to "FT_PalisadeDoubleDoor_Mover.png" and edit the 1x2 door Def <defName>FT_PalisadeGate</defName> field <texPath>FT_PalisadeDoor_Mover</texPath> to <texPath>FT_PalisadeDoubleDoor_Mover</texPath> so that it'll use the texture you renamed.

To fix the coloring, edit "FT_PalisadeDoubleDoor_Mover.png", adjust to "Black and White", apply Brightness 80% and Contrast 70% to the non-black pixels, create a new 64x64 image named "FT_PalisadeDoubleDoor_Mover_m.png", edit so that the entire image is pure red (R-255 G-0 B-0 aka HEX #FF0000), and save.

For the 1x1 Palisade door, go to the mod's textures, edit the 1x1 door image "FT_PalisadeDoor_Icon.png", delete the pixels to the right of the middle black bar, and save as "FT_PalisadeDoor_Mover.png".

@Big Cheese & @Cat Kraken the ditch doesn't provide cover, at least to my knowledge. It slows pawns walking across it significantly though, maybe down to about 20% normal speed but no, It does not provide cover like a trench.

Did the update today mess with the palisade gate textures? idk if its because I redownloaded the game after uninstalling it but they appear as blocky looking and off-color. They still function as doors but the animation looks weird and doesn't actually open the door. Apologies if this seems nitpicky, I just use the mod a lot as I love the style of it for my playthroughs.

Is there a known reason why I might not be able to build the gate frame? I used to think it was a conflict with VE Security, but I'm not using it this time around and still can't build it. It doesn't even show up as an option.

Kravock , hummcheese , Solution to your problem might be in Missing textures thread, last post. At least it solved the problem for me.
It looks like AOBA doesn't pay attention to comments in this comment thread sadly.
