Very nice looking brutalist houses.

Honestly @Starshine, I wouldn't even know where to begin on adding a skin to it...

Thank you though!!!
Starshine 22 Feb, 2021 @ 1:41am
This is beautiful! Looking at photos from back in the same it seems it was bright white originally? so maybe if that interpretation is correct skins could be added?
Fantastic work and fantastic building!
Magister Wigbold 19 Feb, 2021 @ 11:40pm
Awesome!
Brammered  [author] 18 Feb, 2021 @ 6:33am
Well, I shall see what I can do! Cannot promise it right away, but I'd like to take a look!
Schro 18 Feb, 2021 @ 6:21am
I would like it to contain versions of it so Detached, Semi Detached and Terraced and if you want Bungalow. But I dont mind if it is just Semi Detached!
Schro 18 Feb, 2021 @ 6:15am
Yeah, its just that there 80s style rather than the 70s and 60s style im looking for. There still pretty good though!
Brammered  [author] 18 Feb, 2021 @ 5:45am
Sorry One Raccoon, I completely missed out and didn't reply to you!!

I can certainly take a look...council housing is easy enough to model so I definitely could do so, although I have a few things currently that I am trying to get done for Cities Skylines.

In the mean time, have you seen the UK Housing by Pyro?

So will you do my idea and if so when will it come out? Sorry if im a bit of a nuisance im just pretty exited that I wont have to use 80s houses in 70s style citys!
Balkoth 16 Feb, 2021 @ 7:11am
Thanks for the fast replies! Very appreciated, Love the buildings themself they look great
Brammered  [author] 16 Feb, 2021 @ 6:53am
AHHHHH Well, that is a high number isn't it. I didn't realise capacity only working people. Well that is bad...maybe we can amend that haha.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Balkoth 16 Feb, 2021 @ 6:41am
If 2 people in each family worked, mother and father and assuming each person had 2 children, then the worker capacity should be around 60, althought that doesn't really reflect reality as some people may have none children and some multiple, if you were to know the calculations the game uses for how children are born and the average number of children born per citizen you could calculate it to be accurate
Balkoth 16 Feb, 2021 @ 6:39am
Number of workers who can live there*
Balkoth 16 Feb, 2021 @ 6:39am
Sorry I worded it kinda bad, the capacity = number of workers alone
It doesn't account to how many people actually live there.
Balkoth 16 Feb, 2021 @ 6:37am
The maths is correct but the number of workers =/= people living in house, its just working age adults. The actual population is way higher when accounted for children (age 7-21) and babies (0-7) Right after building and inviting workers to max, there will be a actual population of around 170, and thats right after building without a baby boom happening

Brammered  [author] 16 Feb, 2021 @ 5:54am
It's based on 4 citizens fitting in each apartment (6 per "block"...which is effectively the bits inbetween the 2 larger stairs). 5 individual blocks make up a row, so that works out at 120 per row...

Unless I have done bad maths...which is very possible.
Balkoth 16 Feb, 2021 @ 5:16am
They seem to house way too many people, are the numbers accurate? Are they really that cramped?
doom_juan 14 Feb, 2021 @ 5:54am
A Clockwork Orange!

Hey @Rainbows! As a former resident of Middlewood and a South Yorkshire citizen, I know very well the buildings you mean!

Park Hill is on my list to try and recreate! If I were to do it I’d want to create a variety of different levelled buildings, to represent the different levels built on the hill side, and of course buildings with walk ways!

Either way, always good to chat about the South Yorkshire .P.R!
Rainbows 13 Feb, 2021 @ 5:52pm
Ah isn't that my niche interest. If your looking for more things to make I'd suggest anything from the capital of the Peoples Republic of South Yorkshire (Sheffield). The big name ones are Park Hill Flats, Kelvin Flats and Hyde Park Flats which all have a distinct zig zag. Less famous but still unique would be the Gleadless valley mini tower blocks (https://i.gyazo.com/6b70262dfb07d44f85f93fdac52061ea.jpg) , smaller maissonettes (https://i.gyazo.com/fe2d14182ee8a4bf7928968da4a4d48f.jpg) and if the game can handle cars being stored in houses the more generic flats (https://i.gyazo.com/17dee4a895754a73a9eb21310fb0a06e.jpg) . These were all designed for building on hillsides but would still work on flat land. I can think of another 10 brutalist / modernist buildings off the top of my head but I'll hold off on the infodump
Brammered  [author] 12 Feb, 2021 @ 8:33am
That’s a decent shout One Raccoon!

I’ve got a set of council flats based on ones from Tower Hamlets on the go right now!

Plus a Marx Statue...which is a convert for an asset I made for Cities Skylines.

Maybe make 70s British Terraced and Semi Detached Council Houses like this?
