Besides that, nice deckbuilder, very fun
Also, apparently Sabotage is a bit bugged.
Sometimes when you select a card the opponent gets an extra hand drawn on top of the old cards
Firstly, credit where credit is due: this is not an original creation; it's a remake of a popular Flash game that was originally created by Morkeulv - we did the models, animations, scripting and implementation in Tabletop Simulator. However the mechanics, card costs and abilities, and rules are copied from the original game.
Production quality: thank you very much! We really tried our best and are very happy with how it turned out. My personal favourite is the "Am Bush" pun. It still makes me chuckle.
Please put the game play areas on the long sides of the table
We considered this during development but sadly found that some players were becoming confused as to which side they were on.
We did however add the ability to play cards directly from the bottom of your screen: hover over a card and press either `1` to play, or `2` to discard. This is easier than dropping cards into the play area and allows you to freely move around the table.
The Bribe and Curse cards are ridiculously overpowered
I'm tempted to agree (usually when i get hit with one). We debated adjusting/balancing some of the costs for cards, but ultimately decided to stick with the original values.
If we were to adjust I'd be tempted to have this cause a player to lose a fraction of their workers (eg, 1/4, with a minimum of 4) to prevent abuse early on, and have a bigger effect on players with more workers.
A couple dozen games and we never even came close to the build to 100 win condition.
Interesting! I suspect this is down to differing play styles. It is often easier to prevent your opponent from surviving than it is to build up high enough.
Crystal resources are the most valuable and can win the game over the others.
Pesky wizards and their OP magic! You're right, and this could potentially do with some tweaking.
"Only player red can control their deck"
This started happening out of nowhere. I can't select red or blue as the host or as someone joining the game. The game has become unplayable for me :(
The Absolutely Fantastic
1. Pacing. You guys nailed the pacing. Its a fantastic game for pacing.
2. Simplicity to depth of strategy ratio is also amazing. You guys again - nailed it.
3. Production value. For being built inside TTS - amazing. This could easily be a paid DLC game. Thank you for building it and letting us play.
4. Replay value is again amazing. Even as we picking apart the things we weren't sure we liked, we kept playing more games just to solidify our ideas and ensure we were thinking about it the right way. We tabletop game every week and this will definitely be in our regular rotation.
Overall this is a must play game for any 2 player groups. Easy to pick up. It has meat to chew on. Great replay value. Just really wanted to give honest feedback because this is a game on the workshop that deserves it. Well done guys - this one is a keeper. Cheers!
The Knits to Picks
1. Please put the game play areas on the long sides of the table. We rotated and pulled back so we could actually watch the game play. Watch the card effects. Can't see much from the current POV. We figured it out and enjoyed the game a great deal more when rotating the camera and watching it from the side and dropping our card into the play areas along the edges of our screens.
2. A couple dozen games and we never even came close to the build to 100 win condition. I got my castle to 77 one game.... and the choice came down to just destroy my opponent this round... or spend the next 2-3 building to 100. And honestly by that point the game had snowballed to the point where it would've just been me being a dick and prolonging the game just to win by building to 100. We later just forgot about it and didnt even consider it.
2. Crystal resources are the most valuable and can win the game over the others. We aren't sure what to do here, no great recommendations, but we came to the conclusion that crystals win games. We would win by basically rendering the other from gaining/amassing crystals.
3. The yellow cards. Combined resources. We didnt remove them from our decks, but we definitely found they were discarded (after playing them just to see the effect) every time. They are never effective enough to justify the cost. 20 of one resource plus 10 of another. Never worth it compared to what you can do with 30 of a single resource or even 20 of the individual resource. We thought maybe making all of the yellow cards even combinations of all 3 resources with reduced costs. So, instead of 20 + 10 cost, 10 + 10 + 10 for the same effect. Just our opinion.
Hey guys just wanted to take a few moments to drop a review because really this game deserves a review.
Some thoughts from a couple of old gamers who played a couple dozen matches.
The Not So Good - (let's get it out of the way)
We had some things we noticed through the matches we played and wanted to share our opinions:
1. The Bribe and Curse cards are ridiculously overpowered. If you're lucky enough to play them early it completely snowballs the game and the first to do so pretty much wins. It's a forgone conclusion. The pricing is no where near high enough for a card which effectively nets the user an actual +2 in resources (+1 one for user -1 for target). Once an opponent is reduced to a single resource maker that resource effectively becomes moot for the remainder of the match. Its the snowball effect these cards swing the balance so far out of whack we ended up removing them from the decks and enjoyed the game a great deal more

(especially if each type of card is scaled up in numbers to balance things out)
i tried creating a deck and nothing happened...
So are there min and max sizes so far?
Both players are in the correct color slots, both can lock in and play the game, however only the host is able to create or alter decks and see resources, other player just has to ask host to give them decks and tell them what the resources are.
