"The Camargue nomadic start" is now available in the workshop under this title.
made a few changes and you might like it I hope.
I agree with you that a nomadic start would be nice, I will set that up today and put it online.
I can also reduce the raider's numbers.
Check in in a few hours and it should be up and running.
I went back to my saves and I did play "Camargue" on hardcore with different settings during the trials. It was hard in hardcore and too easy in normal.
I decided afterwards to post the scenario in normal mode only with higher settings for the raiders as it was hard to balance raiders between normal and hardcore.
Hardcore uses normal settings with extra raiders per population.
If you think that raiders are too much you can alter the settings yourself in "steamapps\workshop\content\858810\2388271113\camargue.scn.xml"
change min and max in
"<action variance="0.2y" period="1y" type="SetRaider" max="14" min="10" entity_types="primitive_human" grace_period="1y" era="Paleolithic"/>".
Hope this helps.
Are you playing hardcore? if yes you could try normal mode.
I played it on hardcore twice, each startup location and did not have major problems.
The style of play of each player is different and it does affect the outcome.
I would suggest you start a new game and learn from your previous play.
Good luck!
There is 1 copper mine on the bottom left corner of the map that isn't accessible by land so I couldn't build a mine since a sledge couldn't cross the water.
There is an Iron age version.
hardcore is more like speeding up to the iron age, skipping some techs on the way for better weapons and defences.
I am happy to see that you are enjoying the scenario.

Reduce speed to fix and unlock people.
I think that this is a game problem and not a scenario one.
I have had it before, sometimes to the point of the game not playable any more.
I made a comment about this with so far no reply.
It seems to have started after the last update and is random and restarting a new game fixes it.
This is all the help I can give you.
You are the second person to mention this.
You can read here under how to fix this yourself.
It is easy but you will need to start a new game as changes to the environment file don't work on saved games.
You are putting things where there already is something else.
If more of you want this updated let me know and I will update the scenario.
:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\858810\2388271113/environments
open the file "camargue.xml" and replace the section <deposits/> with the one below.
You will need an app like notepad+ or similar to do that.
It is a very simple thing to do.
NOTE: You will need to start a new game, won't work with saved game.
!Don't use the quote marks on the section below!
<deposits values="Flint Copper Tin Iron"/>
<deposit_override_prototypes>
<deposit_override_prototype><id value="Flint" /><density value="0.1" /><min_altitude value="-1.5" /><max_altitude value="10"/><min_angle value="20" /><max_angle value="35"/></deposit_override_prototype>
<deposit_override_prototype><id value="Copper"/><density value="0.2" /><min_altitude value="-1.5" /><max_altitude value="10"/><min_angle value="20" /><max_angle value="35"/></deposit_override_prototype>
<deposit_override_prototype><id value="Tin"/><density value="0.1" /><min_altitude value="-1.5" /><max_altitude value="10"/><min_angle value="20" /><max_angle value="35"/></deposit_override_prototype>
<deposit_override_prototype><id value="Iron"/><density value="0.2" /><min_altitude value="-1.5" /><max_altitude value="10"/><min_angle value="20" /><max_angle value="35"/></deposit_override_prototype>
</deposit_override_prototypes>"
Just for you I will add iron.
It is mentioned at the start of the game that there is no iron, and once you unlock the Iron Age you have won the scenario.
Copper and tin was a compromise as the Camargue does not have metal ores.
For the sake of the game I left these 2 ores in.
It is not taking part of the game out, just a different version of the original.
Hope you liked it even without iron.
Ce scenario est en langue Anglaise et Française.
